The Westmorland Inn

You have the staff like Tarl Snowdon, very helpful for us, two seniors who couldn¿t bring the heavy suitcases up-to room 7. Without him we couldn¿t stay the old and small (too cozy) 3rd floor room. Close to the Bowness Pier was one big asset.

No Lift? Broken chest. Too small shower. No breakfasts.

Location was good with a carpark near by. Hotel was a bit tired looking which was reflected in price. Friendly staff. Fine for short stay and dog friendly.

Not too far from everything and it’s all walking distance. Nice sized rooms and clean along with being properly dog friendly which we really appreciate.

Beds are noisy and too soft. The walls are a little too thin. Not for a romantic getaway

staff made you feel very welcome. room was a really good size nicely decorated with shower tea coffee hot chocolate kettle. beds really comfy nice view from window. would definitely come back great value

Nothing, everything was as expected

The Westmorland Inn is not a B&B, but knew that before booking. The location is perfect as only a short walk from the lake and all amenities.If not gone by own transport, buses run regular to other tourist destinations.

The doors to the rooms having automatic closers, made them slam, so when trying sleep, other people coming in late disturbed you.

Very poor :( unfortunately stayed here and left after first night of a three night break stayed in room 8 , emailed property twice with issues and still no reply.I was not happy with:The bed which seemed extremely small, rickety and uncomfortable;the radiator on all night and unable to switch off;the black painted walls in the room / bathroom; the bathroom sink not draining out as it should; black mould up the bathroom tiles; discarded broken hanger in wardrobe, place needs a deep clean.

The location was good and the room was ok but not that clean and there was a large iron stain on the carpet. The blind would not fully close therefore let in a huge amount of light, especially with a light/lamppost outside the window! The bed was very soft and uncomfortable. We would’ve complained to reception regarding the blind however we were out very early and home late and kept missing the staff.

Clean but decor a bit rough around the edges. Great location
