- The hotel is right on the motorway and whilst you'd expect the noise of the traffic, you didnt. The bed was super comfy and the staff member was lovely and went out of his way to bring extra milks and sugars. Room was comfortable. Price was excellent!
- I was most of all satisfied from the housekeeper Erika, she was exeptional with great customer service, very helpful person with great attitude and brilliant cleaner. 10 out of 10 to her
- Location and Erica was excellent nothing too much trouble
Cons -
- Room was abit on the small side, very small walkway to the bathroom. Window difficult to open. No breakfast options for the next day.
- The hotel could do with catering options - breakfast if need to grab a coffee in the morning or bar option to chill in the evening
- No restaurant

Very clean, great shower, WiFi, media (TV, netflix, Amazon prime etc) bed were all great
The room was very hot but a modern air cooler was available but understandably created noise while running. Quite close to the road and despite the additional screen over windows it was noticeable, However the cooler was far too noisy for me to sleep while on so I had to open the window and despite being right next to M5/A37? In a road facing room the traffic and road noise wasn't noticeable (I am used to silence as I live in a very rural area).
The hotel was really convenient as its right by the main road into Exeter. You call on arrival to be let in as there's no manned reception but then have a code to come and go. The room was comfortable and clean with a lovely bathroom and tea/coffee making facilities. Staff are lovely and very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.
You can hear the road a bit, but being close t made travelling on easy.
Nice and warm and clean.Tea and coffee but sadly no biscuit'sGood lighting fast WiFi easy connection.
No resturaunt due to repairs, no snack machine. Poor service and info from check in staff.Room ok but bathroom didn’t smell very nice. Tacky floor boards that let otherwise a nice room down.Room I had faced dual carriageway so very busy, take earplugs if your a light sleeper like me.
Great location, comfortable rooms.
Unfortunately restaurant onsite was shut and there is not much else around. Had the glass table in our room fall of the wall and smash on the ground but staff were helpful in clearing it up quickly and moving us rooms
Awful stay away
Run down, given the wrong room, no one there on check in. Had to call to get them to come and give us the right room and it was the house keeper that came back to sort it. Battery died on the room door and she had to calm the receptionist on a video call and he said to give just a standard room after paying for a deluxe room with a bath, he didn’t realise I was stood next to her when he said it didn’t matter if I paid extra just put me in a normal room, his name was Siri or that’s what she called him anyway. No management even in the morning when we checked out, the bar and restaurant were empty of stock and closed so had to go into Exeter to get food after a 5 hour journey and being 8 months pregnant. Avoid at all costs, I would have got a refund and slept in my car as it would have been more comfortable. Only decent things was the house keeper as she tried her best to help even though it wasn’t her job and the size of the bath so I could have a soak after a long journey
Big room, excellent value for money
No bar
Heating and water pressure was good - also the ability to be able to watch Netflix was nice
Bit dirty on the floors
The staff, size of the room, parking and decor.
Unfortunately, my room had a foul smell which eminated from the bathroom which despite using air freshener didn't solve.
Convenient location. Comfortable bed.. free parking.
Restaurant is closed so no opportunity for breakfast or dinner at the property.
Disappointing
We were gutted that we booked the deluxe double and was given the smallest room possible which was smaller than we’ve stayed in before there. There was no one at reception when we went down to say and we shouted and looked around. We have used this hotel before but was gutted this time to upgrade our room and the pictures were completely different to what we had. Room was satisfactory but gutted with getting a room smaller than what we paid for.
Not a lot
The floor was a mess Poor comm Car park like a building site
Accessible location with plenty of parking.
No fridge in the room. Tea and coffee supplies were limited.
The entrance hall looked nice and the bar did too, parking was good.
We were not told that there would be no food or drink at the hotel, the bar/restaurant was closed for renovation. The beds were comfy, but the sheets didnt fit. It was noisy, with the road (although we did see that in the description). There was one cup of coffee each on the first morning, and the staff were non existent.
Was not informed of the bar/restaurant was closed until arrival. Comfortable room however flooring was damaged covered by a rug which needed to be moved everytime I needed the bathroom. Outside area needed cleaning, coffee cup, overflowing ashtrays where there from arrival day and still there 2 days later. Shame as could be a great hotel.
Outside area dirty
Poor , noisy, run down
No restaurant or bar, no breakfast despite implying on booking that food eas available .Other guests seemed to be partying til 03:30 incredibly noisy on the Friday wished we had stayed elsewhere
Clean
Like a rabbit warren. Rooms difficult to find in a warren of corridors and changing floor levels. Also they said at reception that the restaurant was closed for refurbishment at the moment. I was told to go one block up to the Exeter Court for dinner and breakfast. The receptionist at the EC told me that the Gissons Restaurant had been closed for the last 5 years. So who was lying? I looked on the Gissons restaurant and there was absolutely no evidence of any work on progress. Notwithstanding that the room was warm clean and comfortable.
Location Bed was super comfy Clean
Door was not fitted to the frame well so every time light in hallway came on, light beamed into room, decor little bit tired (floor) Not sound proof
