Loch Lomond Hotel

Very comfortable, clean hotel offering good value in a very convenient location in Balloch, next to 3 restaurants and within short walking distance of Sweeney's Cruises of Loch Lomond.

Bath surface slippery - a rubber mat option would be good.

The staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. Really liked the location, room was spacious and we were delighted to find 2 separate bathrooms in our double room!

The mattress wasn’t very comfortable.

Spacious, clean rooms, nice bar area and lovely staff. You couldn’t get dinner in the hotel, I assume as it’s out of season, however, the staff recommended places to eat. They recommended the lovely Italian restaurant next door- Cucina. One of the nicest Italians I have ever been to, food was amazing!

The hotel was lovely, the room was well equipped and really reasonably priced. The food in the restaurant was really tasty and well cooked, and the staff were very kind and accommodating.

The hallway smelt of cigarettes - I think maybe where staff smoke is under one of the windows, so that may be something to look at. And there was mould on the bathroom ceiling (we were in room 2). Otherwise - excellent. Minor complaints but good to let the hotel know!

Perhaps would have liked the option to have dinner at hotel but at the moment they are not doing dinnet

Loved the location perfect for the pubs, restaurants and shops. All on your doorstep.

Bed wasn't very comfortable. Noisey guests arguing at 4.30 am.No draft beer in the bar was a bit disappointing. Heating on high all night in bedrooms far to stuffy. Hall lights very bright shine right through doors and light up the rooms.

The location was great, friendly staff, comfy beds.

We requested a double room but were allocated a twin. It was a shame that the hotel wasn’t able to offer food however the cafe next door did an excellent breakfast and was recommended to us by the hotel staff.

Staff were very friendly and helpful! We arrived before check in but they were very kind and let us store our bags (we had a lot!) while we explored the area. Hotel is in a great location, walking distance to the train station which was ideal and with a bus station opposite which was very convenient!

It’s a great little stop off between travelling from south up Loch Lomond/highlands. It’s well kept. Staff are great and it’s great value for the money. It’s never going to be a 5 star so anyone trying to review this based on 5 star experiences needs to get a grip. It’s perfectly priced for what you get and it’s clean and modern enough compared to those in the surrounding area. The lack of restaurant or bar action makes no difference to us. We came for a clean and comfortable bed for one night and it’s perfect for that.

Not much to be honest. There’s obviously small cosmetic stuff like carpets need a clean and better cushions and mould of bathroom ceiling but for the price I can take it for one night.

No cooked breakfast !!

The room is very big, allowing the 3 of us to have our own space and ability to open up the luggages. It is very clean and with 2 bathrooms, such a comfort! We could park our car right outside the door, allowing easy loading/unloading of luggages. Very convenient, easy walk to the centre for food. Highly recommended. The host is very friendly and responsive to messages.

One side of our bed is saggy. The rest of the beds have no issue.

Didn't arrive till 10pm and was leaving at 7am so can't say much.The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was great. The staff were very helpful on arrival.

The room would have been small if you were staying for a longer period.
