- Lovely room, very clean, large shower, comfortable bed and close to the restaurant. Would definitely stay again.
- Clean, tidy & a good size plus parking directly adjacent the room
Cons -
- said there was seating area in room . only one chair,no small table to sit and have coffee, no where in Bathroom to put Toiletries, not inpressed,
- The one way system wasn’t very well lit & no breakfast available & no nearby cafes to eat
- The room was boiling, unbearably so. We were able to check in early, which was great but upon entering the room the heat was unbelievable. The radiators were that hot you couldn’t touch them.It was that hot the toilet seat felt heated and we thought the bathroom has underfloor heating. The thermostat in the room said it was on 10 degrees, so we couldn’t even turn it down. My husband managed to turn the radiators off with the hope that whilst we were out the room would cool down.We returned at approx 10pm, the radiators had been off for c8 hours, but the heat was still stifling. We sat with the door wide open to let some cold air in, which helped initially. We then had to close it to get some sleep. We woke up in the night multiple times, literally sweating. This was after an earwig crawling out the bed. By 5:30am we were wide awake and lay in bed with the main door wide open to get some cold air in.It was as though the lodges were empty either side of us and the heating on maximum there which was why ours wouldn’t cool down.£100 for one night stay, where we barely slept seems extortionate. The lady on reception was kind and said we could email the manager, but that they were on holiday for a couple of weeks so unlikely would hear back for a while.I feel disgruntled that at £100 for one night we had little sleep. The beds wasn’t overly comfortable either, the pillows were very firm. The UHT milk had gone off, which I assume was due to the heat.We were hoping to use this place regularly as family live close but sadly wouldn’t stay here again.

Pleasant location and nice walk round the lake.

Shower room was nice.
The room i was in 10, opposite woodies bar had zero touches about it. It was a very blank and none exsistant room. One bed in the corner, nothing on the walls, dull decor and terrible pillows. Considering its a lodged area, not even a fridge in the room.
Secluded in I assume a very pleasant park but arrived in dark left in dark so can’t confirm
The room was a in a block of wooden chalets . Unfortunately I think the heating pump for the whole block was in my bed !! . Everytime one of the chalets in the blocks thermostats clicked on for heat the whole room was filled with loud gurgling and bubbles obviously in the pipes made for a lousy night . Currently writing this at 3.25am . Only the restaurant / bar on site nothing else nearby . So didn’t bother to try the on site food so no idea if good or bad just didn’t fancy it . The mattress is saggy to one side so well worn that you nearly roll out of the bed ..it needs replacing .
It was clean, reasonably priced and ideal for us as we were attending a party at Woody’s
Lack of items like a hairdryer. There was body wash but no shampoo. The towels were a little worn and the tea provision was poor for two people (although to be fair it usually is in hotels so we pack extra anyway!)
No brekkie s had to leave early, in room teaaking facilities and kettle and sufficed to make instant porridge, however large fish n chips was LARGE and well cooked.staff were friendly and has to be one of the cleanest rooms I have stayed in .beds were like new, no dips or saga in mattress.. bathroom was brilliant, walk in wet room style, again clean and warm.grounds are expansive and safe for youngsters ,was very peaceful.Log burner in pub was amazing, I want one!!!
Walls between rooms are quite thin so could hear half of chap in room next door phone convo with someone.Given it is timber construction prob no surprise in hindsight however courteous neighbours no prob, may be a nuisance if others renting are of an ilk not to be aware of noise. My photo of food too blurred but hopefully gives an idea
Great location and setting. Cabins very clean.
Cabins were very basic. Could have done with a couple of coat hooks in the bathroom and a couple of shelves. A blind in the bedroom.
Superb location. Beautiful surroundings. Cosy, spacious accommodation.
The restaurant/bar didn't open until 1200. There were no facilities for breakfast.
The staff at woodys bar.So kind and helpful.
Only one chair in the room, other person had to sit on the bed. There was room for another arm chair
The staff were so friendly and it was a very spacious room and a really good bathroom.
Nice location, friendly helpful staff
Poor lighting around the drinks area. A stool or chair there would be helpful. A key drop box by the exit would have been helpful as we had to drive back around to reception to drop it off.
Nice and quiet. Good restaurant
No where in the bathroom to put anything.
Private car park lovely surroundings people were pleasant. Food was lovely absolutely loved the stay
Didn't catch any fish haha
Gorgeous surroundings! Stunning! Room was clean and well equipped. Staff helpful and polite.
Mattress on the bed was not comfortable. One particular staff member was extremely rude and abrupt with me.
Secure and clean.
Very noisy. The walls must be extremely thin! The other residents were not at all considerate.
Surroundings were fabulous. Beautifully kept natural environment. Rooms were well set out and clean. Bathroom fantastic.
Lots of cobwebs and spiders in corners! Bed wasn’t comfortable - a cheap memory foam mattress topper would help. Staff member was very rude to my granddaughter - particularly upsetting as it took a lot of persuasion to get her to talk to the older staff member as she had a stammer. Older staff member was offhand and rude. Other staff were fabulous though!
Good location, very quiet midweek.
No locks on window to leave open .Very warm in room No fridge if you wanted cold stuff
Clean and tidy, really nice location, all booked up for next month.
