Nothing like the description or photos on Booking.com…Just a bar with a car park… and 2 shabby houses for accommodation…No food available at property….Just a kebab shop 15 minutes away…

Complete scam…Avoid at all costs…!!!Nothing like the description on Booking.com…

There are not many Hotels that are budget conscious that have good quality mattresses, thank you for a comfortable nights sleep.the river view was picturesque!

A slight dislike however, understandable... The property is under going renovations (that look amazing!) this resulted in the kitchen being closed which is absolutely fine but it would have been nice to know prior to arriving...

There was weird black slimy stuff inside of the kettle, shower full of spiders, and the room was really cold with only 1 small radiator. There were heaters in the closet but they were not working. Temperature in the room was probably about +14C, impossible to sleep, couldn’t even make a hot tea to warm up a little because of that disgusting kettle.

I left the next day Hotel not readyNo breakfast I paid for breakfastI want my money back

Avoid at All Costs – Unless You Fancy a Surprise Shower and Late-Night Police Raid!Checked into the Royal Hotel, Bar & Grill in Purfleet with high hopes... which quickly drowned — literally.First impressions: the room came with two pillows so thin I thought someone had folded two A4 sheets and called it bedding. Honestly, I’ve seen thicker napkins It was 25°C and sunny outside when I arrived, so imagine my surprise when I heard water hammering the windows. “Wow, it’s raining,” I thought. Except... it wasn’t. On closer inspection, I discovered a lovely indoor water feature, courtesy of a pipe from the room above dumping someone’s shower runoff directly onto my inward-opening windows. Bonus: that delightful spray then splashed into my room. it was like a spa experience with someone's bodily fluids !!As if that wasn’t enough, I was gently woken at 2am by the arrival of seven police cars arresting some moron To summarise:Pillows: flatter than the humour in this review.Room: wetter than the Thames.Sleep: interrupted by sirens and drama.Purfleet: not winning any beauty contests soon.Staff: absolute legends, the only saving grace.⭐ 1 star for the staff. ⭐ -5 stars for everything else. You've been warned.

No butter in the room

The room was very nice and clean. Quiet and the river view so it really was amazing. Staff was polite and helpful.

Location

Hotel was disgusting inside and out. Rats in car park and the room was filthy

Nice big comfy bed

Hotel looked derelict on arrival with scaffolding up everywhere, room was in separate block and then informed that the restaurant would not be open for evening meals, so we had to drive out to find somewhere to eat, we had booked breakfast, but the chef phoned in sick so we didn't get that either, overall very disappointing, and won't be recommending to anyone.

Staff were friendly

Room smelt damp, floors were so uneven the bed sloped, windows didn't lock, kitchen was closed

The room was nice, bed was very comfortable. Only let down was the shower pressure on the third floor was a bit weak but didn't take away from it being a good stay!

Loved the food was exceptional. And the staff are very lovely and helpful very kind.

My bed was a little uncomfortable but the room was lovely.

Dirty nothing like the pictures

The property looked nothing like in the photos I booked to stay in one of the cottage rooms which cost extra but when I arrived to the room it was covered in dirt and mould when mentioned this to staff they then put me in one of the hotel rooms

Leaving

Our toilet was blocked on arrival and was unusable for the whole weekend. Toilet was leaking from the base. Shower was also leaking from the bottom too so the bathroom floor was constantly wet. Very hot room with not much ventilation. Parking was horrible due to a large skip in the car park which was overflowing.

Good standard room. No breakfast was offered and I had nowhere to get a table water.

Very dated and needs a refurb. Pictures very misleading. Cold and noisy. However was only one night after busy working so location was great and cheap

I had a room with " river view " only covered by the overgrown bushes,

You get what you pay for , the rooms are clean, and the bed is comfortable where we were was nice and quiet so perfectly happy
