Lovely historic Inn set on the High Street in Horndon. Still run by the Vereker family after 3 generations. We had a nice meal in the bar where our dog was able to join us. Very obliging staff. Great to bump into friends from my childhood in the village. Good selection of real ales.

3 in the morning a delivery of something very loud music in van then again at 4 ish banging and crashing crates then staff outside room at 7.30 am talking loudly to guests !!!!! Looked a quiet village but definitely not room was lovely shower was not good either but very clean
The rooms were lovely and spacious, with everything you could need. Extremely comfortable beds and very friendly staff
We have stayed here many times over the years when visiting our daughter, the bar is how a proper English pub should be. The food in the restaurant is excellent and the accommodation is comfortable
The room was spectacular, really clean and spacious and the bed was really comfortable.We dealt with Nicola on reception who was absolutely fantastic; we had a slight mishap but she dealt with it such efficiency and was really lovely and made the stay all the more better!

Room was small but perfectly adequate. Very nice room. No chairs so had to sit on the bed but we were okay with that. Had dinner there, again all very good. Main menu a bit too fancy for our tastes but we ate from the board and it was tasty. Staff are excellent. Breakfast had a great choice and again was tasty
The receptionist was incredibly kind and helpful. I think her name was Nicola. Such a thoughtful person.Our room was beautiful (number 10)We ate in the restaurant and the food was incredible . The waiting staff was delightful so capable.
The room was modern and clean. Modern bathroom with LED mood lighting. Large comfortable bed. Delicious breakfast with choice of menus (paid separately). Plenty of free parking.
The room provided everything we were hoping for with comfortable beds. Very clean and was nice and warm on a chilly day too. They kindly had fulfilled our request of keeping other family members rooms next door to ours.We had breakfast which was also very nice.
Room was absolutely superb, lovely and clean and beautiful little touch of some homemade shortbread left for us also.
Toilet area was very cold and the blind didn't really keep the sunlight out early morning.
I always stay at the Bell when I'm travelling for work in this area - excellent rooms and the food is amazing (you will need to book a table as the Pub is very popular). You will not be disappointed.

Lovely room. Had dinner in the pub which was excellent.I also left my phone charger in my room and the hotel rang and then posted it to me.
