- Maybe change the Kettle as it is too big for sink to fill up?
- I found the lighting in my room to be somewhat dim and would have liked to have been able to fully secure my room with a deadlock on door.

Friendly staff, good food, comfy bed, parking & location on the River Dart.

Pleasant staff and atmosphere. My room was spacious and comfortable and a welcome retreat after a heavy day. I was impressed that the female breakfast attendee was able to remember me and my circumstances from a previous visit.
I found the lighting in my room to be somewhat dim and would have liked to have been able to fully secure my room with a deadlock on door.
The location, with a very quiet room overlooking the River Dart. The room was large and very clean. Dinner was delicious and there was an excellent cooked breakfast the next morning. Friendly and helpful staff.
Lights unnecessarily left on outside the hotel all night (my pet peeve - I need a dark room to sleep properly). The bed was comfortable but a lighter duvet option would have been appreciated as I was a bit too hot. The shower had plenty of hot water, but the water pressure was weak, so not very satisfactory. I was kept awake for much of the (windy) night by the sound of an unfastened door/window banging somewhere in the building.
Evening meal & breakfast was lovely. And both stay 4th/5th Feb were very nice (didn't get their names)
Bed wasn't too comfy.
Beautiful location next to the stream, delicious foods, comfy rooms, wonderful staff
Could have done with breakfast being serve a bit earlier than 8am, as needed to be on the road earlier than 8.30
Outstanding location, right next to the river Dart. My room overlooked the river, facing nature, not overlooked at all- beautiful! Was able to leave curtains open and enjoy the full moon. Staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was good. The property was clean and well presented. Room was warm and cosy, nicely furnished with huge new kettle, selection of hot drink consumables, bottle of water and hairdryer. Limited options for dietary requirements on the menu but staff made an effort to accommodate my needs and provided jugs of non dairy milk for my room upon request. I enjoyed gluten and dairy free fish and chips one evening in the restaurant.
Single bed was sadly very uncomfortable, I could feel every spring in the mattress. The compact shower doors didn't meet flush together and the tray didn't empty quickly causing flooding concerns.Thin walls meant I could hear the loud TV in the adjacent room clearly and later, snoring. The doors were noisy to open and close and I could hear all the other guests using stairs and doors to the hallway but this settled and was reasonably quiet through the night. The dining room chairs could do with new padding. Following a coccyx injury, I didn't find them comfortable to sit on.
Room was clean. Location suited us. Breakfast was OK.
The mattress had collapsed and was very uncomfortable. En- suite was cramped and shower was weak.
Well located. Clean and comfortable
It was a beautiful location, clean with good food and a very nice breakfast.
The bathroom was uncomfortable as it was tiny and the water pressure very low, our room was tiny also.
Staff were friendly
The bed was appallingly uncomfortable so I asked for my money back and went elsewhere. Hopefully the mattress will be replaced soon!
Really friendly staff, beautiful room, and great food!
It was what seemed to be a local pub with lovely staff who were very polite and helpful
Location just by the river was lovely
The hosts and all staff were excellent. We were made to feel very welcome. The room was lovely but maybe abit tired in places. But very clean and had everything we needed for a two night stay. Breakfast was lovely and of good quality. Will definitely be staying again
The staff did everything possible to make us welcome. Room overlooking the fast flowing river and easy walk to Buckfast Abbey for Mass . Quiz in the evening such fun. My sister and I came last but no matter. Exceptional evening staff. Food beautifully cooked. Simple but tasty.
Soap dispenser in short didn’t work
Friendly staff, comfortable bed and bedding and nice room
Food was good, room and bed good, staff really accommodating
Only one thing.... the Shower in our room was more like a dribble but its a relatively minor thing.
Riverside, view quiet.Good for the price
We found our room open with the keys of the cleaners in the lock when we came back at mid afternoon.Luckly we did not leave valuables in the room
