location
no heating, beds swayed any time you moved as if they were in stilts, lift is from the beginning of time, used once then had to take the stairs. nothing like the pictures.
Friendly staff on check in and in the restaurant. Nice size bath.
The mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable, you could feel the springs. The room was at the restaurant end of the building and smelt of cooked food constantly. My clothes smelt of food the following day.Booked for 2 nights, only stayed for 1.
Great staff and lovely place to stay
Tv in room 10 was rubbish - continued pixilation, maybe signal or fault
Good location, ample parking, lovely pub with great food selection, hot shower, comfy bed, decent TV.
Room could do with a little bit of re decorating it’s slightly dated
Clean comfortable good food
Lift bit scary
Friendly staff.Ease of access from village.Good parking area.
The building could certainly do with an update. Poor decoration in our room. Creaking floors.
Comfy bed, perfect location for what I needed it for, lovely staff
Could do with a little update/decorating
Our room was on a busy road so earlplugs required. Bedside lamp did not work. Helen in restaurant was lovely, couldn’t have been more helpful.
Good location for town facilities walks and transport Comfortable spacious roomExcellent value for money B&B with good choice at breakfastHelpful friendly staff
The window blinds weren’t black out plus the room overlooked the car park which was illuminated all night, so not conducive to a good night sleep
Location is fabulous. Parking good. Staff lovely.
Hotel is very very tired. We had recommended other family members to stay here this weekend. They described it as ‘grim and smelly!’
Excellent on site parking which required registering the car registration at reception but was free and there was a lift up to the 1st and 2nd floors which was a huge bonus.
Clean good location nice bar area
Was a bit tired but good value
The room was dated but beds were comfy and bedding was pristine and towels were to the food was really nice and the brekky was very tasty gluten free aswell
The rooms and corridors could do with decorating
Great choice of breakfast and the full English cooked to order - Very good. Was in room 1 - Very quiet and in a good location in the hotel.
bathroom is a little tired - sink and bath / shower - Nothing wrong but getting old and water didn't eave the sink quickly - Could do with a refurn in the near future.
Great location, friendly staff and clean comfortable rooms.
The staff were friendly and the food was good
The bathroom window was broken. It didn’t have a handle and didn’t close so the room was freezing. The cold water tap in the bathroom sink didn’t turn off, so it ran all night. The room was incredibly noisy. Towels stained. Only 2 channels on tv worked . Between the storm as the window wouldn’t close, the running tap, and the noise from the banging doors, it wasn’t a restful experience .
Clean and tidy entrance way, bar, restaurant and rooms. Welcoming staff. A good size room with iron and ironing board, kettle and hair dryer. Shower had good water pressure and temperature control.
My only comment would be to consider making some changes to the mirror positions and electrical outlets. The plugs in the room I stayed in (28) were not high enough from the counter top to comfortably fit plugs in to, which meant I had to have the iron plugged in without it being flush to the wall, the same for the kettle. The hair dryer cable did not facilitate use in front of the mirror in either the room or the bathroom, which was not ideal but I managed to work round it.
