    Pros +

    • An old building with pleanty of chacter, an excellent dining room and convenient car parking.. Staff were very friendly.
    • Friendly welcoming staff. Clean comfortable, generous size rooms. Mine (Robin) looked out onto a little garden at the back. Very quiet. Good food choice for evening meal and generous good quality breakfast. I was a solo traveller and felt very safe and at ease here. Hope to book again in the future
    • Comfortable rooms with everything you need for your stay. Nice touch of canapés provided in the evening

    Cons -

    • Not a fault of the property. but inconsiderate people in upstairs room stomping backwards and forwards repeatedly until very late and with phone ringer volume up high. There wasnt noise from the neighbouring rooms or carpark otherwise, so I think without thoughtless people the room would have been very peaceful.
    • Cooked breakfast was not the best. Overcooked eggs and bacon!
    • Shower a bit small, that’s all!

Decor, ambiance and layout. Good layout with easy access rooms from car park, various dining areas and a warm cosy bar area with proper beer.

Shower a bit small, that’s all!

    8RichardPosted on: 2-11-2026

Nice room, food good and staff polite

    7TammyPosted on: 1-24-2026

Staff, location, bar area all friendly and atmosphere good

Decoration is tired, doors etc all scuffed so looks scruffy when it could look beautiful. Room very nice but decor needs updating, the scuffing etc makes the place look dirty. Food was average. Breakfast was good.

Room was clean, warm, and comfortable Had tea and coffee, lush hot chocolate and good biscuits!Food was really tasty, breakfast was amazing, great choice of food at breakfast, good quality and plenty of it.Lots of walks nearby, close to the heaths and RSPB Minsmere, beautiful area.We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again

We were in a downstairs room, could hear the guests upstairs walking about, sounded quite loud but that's the only thing I could find fault with. Didn't bother us.Felt menu slightly limited for dinner.

Room presented superbly and made for a hugely comfortable and restful night over.

May need ti rethink their dog policy, breakfast had some noisely yapping which distracted from the lovely atmosphere

    9PhilipPosted on: 1-16-2026

Good sized rooms with modern facilities- nice to have large bath & shower. Excellent food & drink choices

Good valueStaff were wonderfulFood was delicious

Room smelt very mustyAlso very noise / dog constantly barking in next room. The people above us sounded like a herd of elephants so not as relaxing as we hoped.

Lovely self contained annex rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful. The area is beautiful.

    10RichendaPosted on: 12-28-2025

Breakfast and dinner were excellent. We had a family room which was perfect for us being on two levels. Felt very welcomed by the staff and the bed was super comfortable

I’m not the biggest fan of dog friendly places which charge for their dog friendliness. I realise this is the standard now but nonetheless it should be included in the room price.

Lovely room with comfortable bed, powerful shower and delicious smelling toiletries! What really stole the show was the delicious dinner and great atmosphere in the restaurant/pub!

Hard to find the room in the dark without help. Pictures on Booking.com a bit misleading as we thought we'd have a bath.

    9RoryPosted on: 11-23-2025

Very comfortable bed with a lovely shower. The breakfast and dinner was delicious. Very good value for money. Can't wait to stay again.
