The Railway Inn Westerfield

Very clean, amenities. onsite Cafe / Restaurant/ Bar. The food was hearty and tasty. Great coffees.

Rooms were clean, comfortable and had enough space. The little extras were appreciated too such as access to cereals/pastries and juices in the fridge . We also are here and would thoroughly recommend the menu . Staff were welcoming throughout our stay.

It was lovely that a continental breakfast was included. In the hall was a fridge with milk, yoghurts etc, lots of fruit, cereals, tea, coffee, porridge pots. You just help yourself to what you'd like, for those wanting cooked its available in dining room at an extra cost.Room was comfortable, good temperature, great location.

The shower door needed a tweak as was off the runner and didn't close properly. Shower worked fine but I was trying not to get the floor wet. The lovely black chandelier needs replacing, the arms are falling off....

The breakfast included was very comprehensive. I didn't take advantage of the payable option for a cooked breakfast but based on the evening meal it would be very good.The room was very comfortable and clean with everything you need for an excellent stay. Bathroom very clean and well supplied.The evening bar meal was very good with plenty of choice. Service excellent.

Everything was very good. Located next to a railway crossing but the trains all pass very slowly and make little noise. It was just about audible in the room but not enough to disturb your sleep.

They have everything there that you could want from first aid kit to different types of milk and games.

The shower room could have been a little bit cleaner and the bed was uncomfortable. The stairs were a little steep.

Right next to the railway station, plenty of parking, great food, friendly staff, lovely room, so basically highly recommended.

Friendly staff; comfortable room; everything spotlessly clean; convenient for Regent Theatre; highly recommended.

Nice food, good location for train to Ipswich...or Lowestoft...nice rooms, warm, comfortable...parking for plenty of cars...friendly staff...

It was inaccurately clean, the rooms were spacious and bar & restaurant were very homely.

Totally unexpected. Don’t ask me why. The property was clean. Had everything I needed. The staff were really friendly. The atmosphere in the bar/restaurant was good. Everything just had the right balance.

The staff were really friendly and helpful . We had a car accident and had to stay extra nights and Sarah and the staff were very kind and thoughtful .

Very well maintained, a real home from home

Breakfast served later than I would have liked and evening meal was a little disappointing.

Nice country pub, short taxi ride from centre of Ipswich. Although we didn’t eat there the food looked excellent ( next time we stop we will book in for an evening meal)

Nothing -it was exactly as we needed

I thought it was lovely, the staff were very welcoming and sweet, they give you everything you need, comfortable bed, lovely decor. And was toasty and warm when I came in which was very comforting after travelling in the cold outside

5 of us stayed & chose to have an early-evening meal. Food was OUTSTANDING, cordon-bleu, topend standards. Absolutely superb. 4 of us had the pork belly & we all said it was the best pork belly we've ever had.Having experienced amazing evening meal it felt rude not to experience their cooked breakfast (and additional cost to us). Once again a FANTASTIC breakfast; unusual to have a fried slice as part of a cooked breaky but it was sublime. All the standard cooked breaky items were cooked to perfection & excellent quality.

Only minor gripe (minor) was that hotel/bar had closed by the time we had returned around 22:00 for the overnight stay. We had indicated our plan to return to Railway for some ?nightcaps but unfortunately the Railway had already closed the main bar☹️
