Very good breakfast, large comfortable room with historic features
Unable to control radiators, it was too hot
All the staff we dealt with were lovely, helpful and polite
Courtyard room, the rooms are looking very shabby, the bathrooms have repairs to the tub, cracks around the sink and both plug holes, no blind in the window in the bathroom which is directly over the courtyard path. paintwork cracked, chipped and just looks like its ready to be replaced. The dining room was again furnished with old worn out tables and chairs, just a table cloth would improve things. continental breakfast, teas and coffees just looked more like an events table, not a relaxed breakfast in a country manor, not even a tea pot for the table.Skeleton staff running about trying to cover to many roles, but they were always happy so thank you.
Staff brilliant - efficient, professional and friendly.Breakfast superb!Beautiful grounds
Room a bit scruffy in places - plaster off walls etc. Though spotlessly clean
Had a fabulous stay. Friendly and welcoming staff. Beautiful comfortable room with lovely views. Great setting and facilities.
Loverly lady at reception fiona explained everything for our stay we did dine at night the 3 course meal was absolutely amazing wow and the room well what can I say big clean amazing warm and the bath was great as well please have the breakfast you wont be disappointed we will be back again x
Location & staff
Cleanliness and style. The room we stayed was in desperate need to modernising, especially the bathroom. Window had been left open so the room was initially cold, but we rectified this ourselves.
Lovely quiet location
Room 34 wasn’t very clean lots of cobwebs around bed and stains on walls
Beautiful, in a great area for walking/local friendly pubs. Staff were excellent.
very nice staffexcellent breakfast lovely setting and warm inviting bar area , well decorated for Christmas
small point no towel hooks in bathroom
Beautiful setting, friendly staff, clean comfortable room, easy parking.
Choice at breakfast, comfortable bed.
The bathroom condition, the bath and shower leaked soaking the floor, with no heating in there it stayed wet! Therefore wet feet every time you step into the bathroom. All lights wired together so either all on it off, unable just to have bedside lamps on!
Staff were nice, room was on an anexe seperate from the main hotel. Quiet and Private
The hotel needs a pool and jym honestly the only thing lacking about my stay
The friendliness and efficiency ot the staff with particular thanks to the gentleman who fixed our shower. We were attending a private dinner which was very good and a great success for all who attended.
It was unfortunate that the shower/bath attached to our very comfortable room was outmoded.
Lovely friendly helpful receptionist
My room was very tired needs an update, curtains were ripped
Hotel decor is lovely. Reception staff lovely. Food excellent and great value for money. Residents lounge with TV.
Room 44 smelt a bit fusty. Windows a bit black. Bar area cold as door left open. Shared bar with a function felt that there could have been a separate residents bar.
Fiona on reception was extremely friendly and helpful. Lovely room with bathroom stocked with shower gel and shampoo. Very comfy bed. Really nice hotel and parking.
The food in the restaurant is excellent. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast.
The room and bathroom were not as clean as we would have liked.
