Avonbridge Hotel

Location

The rooms need to be updates, door locks were secure, shower and sink drainage poor, towels were extremy thin they to be replaced.

The main hotel is lovely, as were the staff, the onsite restaurant and parking was great. The food was absolutely lovely and I'd definitely recommend eating there.

The room overall, I paid £81 and didn't feel like it was worth it, it definitely needs a facelift. The mattress was so so uncomfortable unfortunately, that we both woke up feeling really sore and we didn't have the best sleep. The bathroom is a bit tired but it was clean. Unfortunately the mattress is enough to make me not want to stay again but otherwise I absolutely would

Shower holder was broken, smelled a little musty, and the hallway floor really creaks when someone walks on it

Room small, no air conditioning or fan. Bathroom small and in need of updating. Hair dryer useless , toiletries basic.

ECONOMICAL

NO LIFT SMALL ROOMS

Rooms were very small. No place to place luggage, no place in the bathroom to put toiletries. No lift. Had to drag our heavy bags. Very small corridors.

Everything could be a lot better. We cancelled the second night stay and went elsewhere. Had to purchase drinking water

I thought the reception staff friendly.The entrance area is nice. The room was ok. Clean and comfortable.Once the windows were closed it reduced the noise. The partying eventually stopped about 11.00pm. Comfortable mattress on bed but ..old base.

Bed base very old and squeaky.Heavy beat music and a lot of noise from the party. Had to close the window.The room was a bit stuffy but I could have the window open for a while. Poor choice of food in restaurant as I am coeliac and vegetarian. Had to go elsewhere. (Sainburys).Didn't bother with breakfast.

Nice staff, adequate room, good restaurant.

The room had not been vacuumed, there were opened bathroom products in the bathroom.

The breakfast was very tasty, and the serving staff was very friendly.

The next time, I would ask for a room away from the main road traffic.

Beautiful building, clean and spacious, nicely decorated room.

Good size room with good facilities, plenty of pillows etc. lovely friendly staff and restaurant / bar. Location is perfect.

Significant noise at night due to the function room downstairs (Friday / Saturday evening). Room was quite warm so needed to leave the window open. A lot of floorboard noise from rooms above.The electric shower in the bathroom didn't work.The LED light on the smoke detector is very bright and flashes every minute which is disturbing when the room is dark.Car park is a little tight especially if you have a larger car.

It was cheap

Needs a refurbishment, there was a light on outside our bedroom window and no blackout blinds.

Restaurant staff were lovely

Room was far away from main reception and no lift

Close to home Visit weekly to the barHad our wedding here 30 years ago our visit was for our anniversary party it was fantastic and Darren seriously was amazing - helped us and kept us all organised through the night - what an amazing service

It wasn't actually the main hotel we lived in was the next building too it few second walk .but I thought if u booked the avonbridge it would be the main hotel & the toilet wasn't gd a flushing.but other than tht everything else was fine

Clean comfortable

There was an Abba tribute band on night I was staying and my room was above function room so noisy but I did like the music

Perfect location as a stopover between the Isle of Skye and home. Very clean, comfortable beds.

It was a bit hot in the room, but people walked past our ground floor window so didn't want to open it

Parking at night could be difficult
