the room very big clean and tidy large bathroom plenty of things in your room you need tea coffee ,ironing board and iron spare pillows ,glasses heating very good too comfy bed

little trouble checking in ,wasnt told about the wifi and how the gym package worked we booked the hotel not really in an ideal place bit of a walk from the bus stop

Not clean. Needs a refurbishment.

Can hear a lot of nose through the walls and the carpets had stains along with bath tub and shower head.

The room was lovely and clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable.

The bath/shower was was at best, warm, and so didn't enjoy this. The evening meal was a little bit disappointing and the atmosphere was more like a Whetherspoons and than a comfortable atmospheric pub/restaurant.

The location worked for my needs but there was not much else to say about it. Works going on outside to make more rooms but that wasn’t divulged prior to booking.

It was dark. Noisy. Chaotic. And staff we met quite rude and unhelpful

We couldn't have breakfast because we were competing early in the morning but the facilities in the room were excellent sos we managed. The bed was really comfortable and hard to get out of in the morning, a good night's sleep.

Good price near location we needed

Room cold-tried to turn up heating but couldn’t. Room next door were smoking in their room and we could smell it. Poor soundproofing, heard everything from next door. Not a very welcoming environment in the bar. Three Security officers. We arrived about 9.45 had one drink then security told us last orders in an intimidating way.

Poor avoid

My room had damp and mould growing on the walls. Active leak coming through ceiling. I went down to the reception and requested another room. I was told there are no other rooms available. I was told I will be refunded and I checked out immediately and had to get another hotel for the night. Extremely disappointed with the service, I’ve had no contract from village hotels and had no refund. I am a member at the village gym also and will be seeking to end my contract with them following this incident of poor customer service.

Staff helped us move room from a chilly room to a warm one. Alison in the restaurant was wonderful in the morning and the chef produced very tasty pie he’d eggs and veggie sausages.

We were put in a chilly cold room to start. It was still chilly late in the evening and we were moved. But the staff knew it was a chilly room because there was already a fan heater in there. We are elderly and it is not good service.

Very peaceful and beds are great

Beds are very great especially black out curtains given us a restful sleep after a business meeting had a best restful day sleep

Location and comfort of the hotel was great as always. Food it the bar was very good too.

Being woken at half 6 to the sounds of an exercise class below my rookm - music blaring from half 6 and then stopped agfter 7am. A bit randon and not that welcome at that time of the morning.

Not pleasant

It was extremely noisy all of the time, trying to park was horrendous. People parked any where. Breakfast wasn't anything special. Will not return

Location, atmosphere, bar area, super comfy bed and having a bath, not just a shower.

The roller blind. It really had to be down when I was getting ready as there were contractors outside which then made the room dark.

The room for the view nice open window not sure about privacy tho, bed was really comfortable

The fact the that the heating was broken and in the morning got woken up to gym classes taking place thought I was doing a work out in my sleep

Good location for my visit and good value for money. Room was quiet and bed was comfortable.

Some initial issues with heating but quickly resolved.

Well the heating never worked and sent a message to reception on booking.com and village hotel (as scanned the QR code in room) and I never had a response. I'm not happy at all. Before u say about coming down to reception I shouldn't have too as that's the point of the QR code

Bad

The heating in the room was broken and we were forced to sleep in fleeces and hats. The shower was also incredibly poor, virtually zero water pressure and cold.

We had no heating all night it was freezing and the cleaners walked in 1 hour early while my partner was going to the toilet undressed
