    Pros +

    • Good size room, quiet which meant a good night's sleep. Good shower. Ideal location for our visit to Nec
    • Free car park, friendly staff and a large bar and restaurant area. Good size room with a very comfortable bed and piping hot water. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious and the staff were very attentive, thank you Emma for serving us at dinner. A thoroughly enjoyable stay and a great location for the Birmingham NEC.
    • Had a nice warm feeling, reception was slow at check in

    Cons -

    • Cold mushrooms and luke warm baked beans and overcooked bacon at breakfast.
    • Trying to find your way about the corridors , more signage would help. And less buckets for leaks ? This isn’t a good first impression
    • The stairway with a heavy case.

    Location, staff, food, comfort

    Lack of draft pale ale.

The overall roominess and easy parking., friendly staff.

Small sink in room, aging furniture.

The room was nice and cosy, tea and coffee with complimentary biscuits, clean and just perfect for me. There is a free large car park at the rear of the hotel that made parking simple. The breakfast in the morning was exceptional, and the server ‘Bing’ was lovely. The location was great for visiting Stoneleigh Park, and I will definitely stay at the Greswolde Arms again.

The floor boards in the room were a little squeaky when you walked around the room and the coffee was not to my taste but, nothing to dislike at all really.

Clean pleasant room. Good location. Bing - breakfast server - lovely

Gven adjoining room with thin door separating us and another couple. These aren't fit for purpose. Every noise is heard from argumentative couple deciding for an hour whether to go out for a midnight curry or go to bed (opted for curry, came back in the early hours and woke us again), to low volume tv (still heard over our air con.)The worst thing was the hotel was nowhere near full and so there was no need to allocate adjoining room. No sleep=exhausted. Not what you want from a hotel stay.

Staff friendly and helpful. Bed comfortable and clean.

The curtains didn’t cover the whole window so you were a bit exposed and there was a street lamp which kept us awake. Could do with a blind fitted direct to the window to limit exposure

Convenient for what we were looking for

Booked a family room. When we found the extra bed we had no bedding and the bed was a mattress on the floor. However when we returned from our appointment the next day someone had actually put legs on the mattress. We did query should the bed have legs with reception when we went to say we had no bedding and was told that’s how it is. Also as on other reviews the fire alarm went off during the night and we had to evacuate the building.

The room was spacious and pleasant

It was noisy - I think there was an air con until somewhere near our room.

    8JohnPosted on: 1-28-2026

    Great location.

Could not park our car on-site as full and our room was above the bar or kitchen so lots of noise.

    8NeilPosted on: 1-22-2026

Staff were friendly , food was good , room kept clean , some good restaurants nearby and only 15 mins to NEC

I have a unique problem being 6’4” . The ceilings in room 26 and shower head were a bit low for me!

    8RichardPosted on: 1-22-2026

I'd stayed here previously, so knew what to expect (The fact I came back clearly means I'm happy to stay here!)Rooms are clean and comfy, as is the bed. Breakfast is good, with a choice of cooked and continental available.Parking is on site.

As a female staying and dining alone, I felt very comfortable and the staff were welcoming and friendly, I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

    8HilaryPosted on: 1-19-2026

Room very adequate, nice bathroom, good well controlled heating, adequate storage. Excellent value for the offer price of £79.00. good food., quiet at night despite its central position.

Everything was very acceptable apart from the awful pillow which was hard and lumpy. As I use one which is soft and based on feather/down perhaps they could offer a selection found in other venues. The receptionist although helpful was not totally professional chatting loudly to a another member of staff on our arrival and found it difficult to get off her seat to show us the way to our rooms all of which affects one's first impressions of the hotel.

    10FionaPosted on: 1-17-2026

Super friendly and helpful reception team and breakfast staff, lovely spacious and cosy rooms

Limited breakfast selection if you didn't choose a cooked breakfast

    Location

The Check in took 30 Minutes as there where no staff around. Very Unprofessional. The tiles in the shower kept falling off and the toilet did not flush properly
