I think this hotel is good value for money but the wall between our room and the room next door was thin and they back the beds up to the same wall we could hear them having sex though the wall.

    Thin walls

Staff were great and it suited our needs. The building is old and run down but it had excellent facilities and the staff were great. We would definitely come back.

The Elizabeth Room was vast for one person. I was shocked to see the huge bathroom with a jacuzzi, it's a pity I could not take advantage of it. It was good to see a long length mirror present. The wall TV was big but I didn't use it. There was a microwave and fridge, ironing board and hairdryer. Every thought catered for. The bed was comfortable. I only had a one night's stay, but that room demanded more.

Not spending more time in there.

Room seemed to have been recently renovated. have stayed here for the last 10 years and was better than previous rooms.

Room was too hot and AC did not work. Had to keep windows open for air but this let in a lot of noise. Hotel is on a busy junction with boy racers in loud cars and constant police sirens till 2am. Internet was intermittent and too slow to use. speed test on my phone showed less than dial up speed. Carpark had lots of old fridges and mattress frames in the corner.Had booked for 2 nights but left after the first night

Great location. Very spacious. Very clean. Lovely bathroom.

Not having a bar or restaurant. Would have been good to be able to have breakfast on site.

    Disappointed

Bathroom dirty, black mould which looks like it’s been painted over, wouldn’t recommend or return, hotel needs a serious update

    The room, facilities, and bed.

It was not clean. There were hairs everywhere, which is disgusting. It was dusty and not clean.

the location was good for us as we went to a Xmas works event about 5 minutes away, it was clean , tidy, it does need work but that didn’t bother us

Breakfast would have been good, and the bathroom was cold

    Shit

Room was dirty, no light bulbs in table lamps. Smelt awful. Most of all staff really rude

Very comfy bed nice clean roomgreat facilities

    2GrahamPosted on: 11-24-2024

The duvet was warm. The shower was hot. The reception staff were reasonably friendly. It was close to the town centre. Traffic noise was very muted and unobtrusive in the room. Plenty of car parking. We enjoyed talking to a couple of the other residents, who appeared to be asylum seekers.

There was no breakfast available, or any other meals, which we had not realised when booking. The room was small and not quite warm enough, although it was inhabitable. The bathroom was very cold. The mattress was very hard, lumpy and uncomfortable.

    Cheap and good location

    Damp smell in corridors

    7J&cPosted on: 11-4-2024

The room was clean and tidy, not the biggest room but enough space for the two of us. Bed was fairly comfortable, could do with some new pillows as they've gone lumpy. Had coffee and tea facilities in the room. Staff were friendly and helpful. Even though it's on the main road, it was quiet, and we slept well. They don't offer food here but there's plenty of nice places within walking distance.

Was sceptical about this place after reading the reviews. Yes, it smells like old buildings do, and it would benefit from some upgrading, but it's not a terrible place to stay. The room above us was a little loud but nothing we couldn't handle.

Ideal location, friendly staff. Bed very comfortable.

No food offered. Bathroom clean but very dated. Water not very hot in morning.

no bar or restaurant. NO HOT WATER!!!!!! I had to shower in cold water while a man tried to fix the boiler. Had to dress in the bathroom as well, as not fixed by the time I had to leave for work
