Pros +
- Good location, very quirky building, staff so nice and friendly, good food
- The staff were so lovely, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fantastic quality, piping hot (you’d be surprised how many hotels can’t serve a hot plate of food) and the service was perfect.
- Location was great right on the high street, the beds were so comfy and the rooms are soo lavish and luxurious. In such a such a stunning building. We Would definitely go back again.we also had dinner in the restaurant which was so delicious.
Cons -
- Wasn’t totally clean in the room, wasn’t totally clear if what and wine on table was free as wasn’t in fridge, bath in room took so long to fill we have less then a quarter of water in 30 minutes, no place to sit and do makeup
- On arrival, I had to call the hotel and they had to move a car to provide me with a pre-booked parking space. I was staying to attend a local funeral and the delay in getting parked meant that I was then running late. Check-in was seamless and very friendly and if I didn’t have all the other points to raise, I actually wouldn’t mention it.The fridge was noisy all through the night, there was another fan noise running through the night, I tried turning the bathroom fan on and off, the air con, I have no idea where it was coming from but it was loud. The bathroom had been cleaned well but the shower had an awful musty smell. The mirror in the room was in the wrong place making it hard to blow dry my hair. (I’d swap the mirror and the picture to opposite sides to solve this)It looked as though there used to be a full length mirror that had been smashed and not replaced so it was just a framed black board. Replacing the mirror may help.Although I was warned at the point of booking and when I arrived that there was a band and I may hear some music, I wasn’t expecting the whole room to vibrate with the bass. I had noise cancelling ear buds in but it was sooooo loud. If I was staying at the hotel to enjoy the facilities it would have been great and I’d have been downstairs dancing, but I came back to the room at around 10 hoping to sleep at some point before midnight and it wasn’t possible. I actually said to the guy that showed me to my room that I’m not a complainer, and yet here I am. I paid a lot of money for the room, had it been a lot less money I wouldn’t be so fussy, but at £235 for the night and an extra £15 for breakfast (including early check in and a parking space) it definitely wasn’t good value for money.
- the hotel was extremely noisy, I was kept up for the majority of the night with traffic noise

Nice and comfy bed
the hotel was extremely noisy, I was kept up for the majority of the night with traffic noise
Good hotel.
Some amenities in room lacking i.e soaps & some lights couldn't be covered. (Blue light on fridge lights whole room all night)
This was a unique experience. Quality bedding and towels. The bed was extremely comfortable. Lovely toiletries. Bath in the room was amazing. Plenty of hot water. Heating was very effective in the bedroom. Tele was great quality. Plenty of space to hang clothes. Good food in the restaurant. Staff were amazing .. sorted out parking (£15) and free drink on arrival. Carried our cases to the room. Explained about kitchen closing on a Sunday night at 6pm. If you like alcohol.. plenty of choice in the room fridge… but you pay for it of course.
The shower room was cold due to the single glazed window which was draughty. But we covered it with the dressing gowns and used the bath instead of the shower. Start the bath running 15minutes before you need it and it will fill slowly due to low water pressure. Once filled it’s amazing . There is a fridge with a blue light shining into the bed room.. we covered this whilst sleeping and it was not a problem.
Lovely bar, staff incredibly friendly. Room was aesthetically pleasing, fortunately got a free upgrade on our room which was nice.
The room we stayed in was freezing. Tried to use unit to warm up but did not work. Not to sound dramatic but it felt as if we were sleeping outside it was that cold.
Good size room with unusual decor. Friendly staff and lovely bar restaurant area. Would definitely use again. Bed was very comfortable with quality linen.
Quite a bit of road noise but that’s to be expected in a prime location. Breakfast times are unusually late.
Was able to get somewhere locally very quickly
Absent communications and very poor attitude
Very quirky, lovely glass of fizz on arrival and professional staff
The room was sooo cold on arrival and although we set the heater it took hours to heat up. Also unfortunately despite beautiful heavy curtains and shutters because we were facing the high street the noise was unbelievable you could even hear people talking on the street! Secondary glazing essential to make this warmer and quieter,
The room was amazing and comfortable, also the location is perfect
The bathroom in our room was not separated, it just had a Cristal door which you could see thru when someone was taking a shower
Amazing rooms, staff are friendly, food is great
A fun, lively hotel, all staff are helpful and friendly, great entertainment venue
Didn’t know we had to pay another £100 for mini bar, which we didn’t use but have had the £100 return no problem
Decor and location
Noisy but there was a warning in the booking details.
Rooms Ok
Single pane window means everything outside sounds like its in your room. Massive rave downstairs. Honestly slept about 30 mins.
Simply outstanding customer service the staff and management team could have done more, beautiful rooms, great food, 100% will be staying with them again, highly recommended.
That we couldn't have stayed longer.
