Good choice of food, helpful staff
Food was rather cold and served on cold plates
Large, comfy bedroom with doors leading to outside space. Great for the dog.
Rather limited menu
Room was comfortable and warm, reception staff and chamber maids very good.
Unfortnately the steam room, was not working and the pool was not very warm, someone mentioned problem with boiler?
The room was comfy and very spacious
The steam room facilities could have been a lot better.
Reception team were warm and welcoming.
Room large but very cold, limited pillows that were old and flat however a call to request more was made and two more were delivered. (even though we asked for 3)Breakfast was adequate, we paid £18 per person which was for some stale pastries and the thinnest sliced water melon. The tea we ordered upon arrival to breakfast took a good 10 minutes to be dropped off by someone who must have been mute. The evening prior, we sat in the bar area and waited again for staff to come, this didn't happen and I had to go walking into all the conference rooms to find someone.
We just wanted a quiet time for some much needed R n R.We got it. Beautifully large bedroom with view over the golf course and own patio with furniture, massive comfortable bed.Delicious food and wonderful service. Peaceful and quiet spaces.
Fabulous setting.Staff throughout really good.Nice big room overlooking the course.
Expensive bar prices and lack of bar staff.Lack of usb connectors in the room.Tv needs updating too.My husband has hearing aids and uses subtitle but was unable to get subtitles as tv so old.
Lovely location and surroundings, big comfy room
Sink didn’t drain. Cooked breakfast needs self service or at least labels so you can see what options are available. Knives are blunt.
Nice location. Spacious rooms.
Outdated hotel. Food was poor quality and very overpriced. Shower was only luke warm, did not get hot over the 3 days that i tried and the knob to turn off was faulty. Staff were ok, not exactly overly welcoming. Breakfast was terrible, never have i been asked to pay supplement (£5) to have avocado but it didn't matter as they didn't have avocado available on either morning anyway. The eggs benedict also had a supplement of £5. The next morning said I would take the cooked breakfast but only wanted bacon and sausage...I got one sausage and once piece of bacon. When I asked for toast (which felt like an inconvenience) I got one slice of toast! Overall very poor restaurant quality. Dinner was also disappointing, small portions of reheated food.
Clean and tidy , staff are good
New menu for dinner for me, not been there for a year. Let down , the food was not good enough for the price
Location was lovelyStaff were excellent Rooms were lovely, cozy and comfortableView beautifulThe Night Manager, Chris, is a legendThe younger staff were professional
Breakfast was... okThe eggs let it downAnd the lack of coffee cups in dining room

hotel is tired and needs a complete refurbishmemt, but it provides more than an adequate stay if you need to be in the area
Calm, quiet, beautiful scenery, spa, restaurant, bar, rooms. All excellent. Fab personal service from every staff touch point. Smiles and happy to help you could see and feel the pride of all the staff. Rooms very nice, big, comfortable bed . Bedding & pillows. Tea / coffee biscuit provided and toiletries in bathroom. Spa was also very good friendly and perfect for purpose we loved the whole experience start to finish!Food was beautiful and everything was good value for money overall. Excellent stay huge thankyou to all staff they served the McDonald brand very well
Nothing all was goodA few repairs in steam spa tiles may be needed but didn’t affect our time there
Lovely grounds and found the rooms spacious, comfortable. Drinking water available and tea (different varieties), coffee in room. We had breakfast included and couldn’t fault it. We used the gym and pool and found them both lovely.
Nothing. Perfect for our weekend break.
The location is pretty
The decor was tatty and dated. Cold! Whole hotel was freezing cold!! Food expensive and only ok. Lift had a string smell of drains! No jacuzzi
Stayed many times when visiting family and it was up to its usual excellent standards and with very friendly staff
The very cold when we checked in. Would be better if it could be switched on at 3pm ready for when people arrive as it takes a while to warm up in this very cold weather.
