    Pros +

    • Staff friendly and room was nicer than what I expected. Great location.
    • Friendly staff, pretty comfortable bed, and good breakfast
    • Comfortable environment. Friendly and helpful staff

    Cons -

    • Not terribly clean; hairs and stains on bedding and towels and a bathroom sink that didn?t drain for my entire stay. Also, I needed to steam a dress for a wedding and both irons provided leaked or didn?t put out steam.
    • High cost of drinks including wine.
    • I'm not sure, even if that is a disadvantage, maybe more preference - expect very firm matrices. On a bright side, there are extra pillows provided, so for short stays, it shouldn't be an issue.

Very comfortable room with all what you need for a few days stay. Staff are welcoming and attentive. The hotel is situated in picturesque settings, perfect for walks, water sports, or just enjoying hotel's facilitie (great gym and swimming pool). Would highly recommend their breakfast, one of the best I have seen in English hotel.

Lots of parking.Great staff Excellent food.Great spa facilities Comfy bed

The bathroom in my room was tired and needed updating.

    8RachelPosted on: 2-18-2026

Comfortable bed. Very clean. Staff friendly. Great location right next to water/marina. Food very nice.

The radiator in our room did not work, but there was a blow heater which was adequate. Only minus for whole stay. Did not mention it as everything else good.

Room was spacious ,clean and tidy.

Room was a bit tired could do with redecorating. Water for bath was not as hot as would like .

We love it here. It was our third stay and the room was perfect we love going for a swim. The food is to die for, last time we came I was sad to see only one vegetarian option but they listened and have added another option!

    There’s nothing we didn’t like

Room was great, hotel has some great facilities and views.

The food was terrible for the price our evening dinner was poor the steak was very poor quality meat and very watery (presume frozen) we returned our steak as it was not up to a good enough standard. We had paid for breakfast and were highly disappointed with this too. Our plates had been cleared with food on still as we had got up to get a drink so we decided to just leave and head home. For us dining experiences are everything and this failed to even be passable.

The view, the location, the food.

The cleanliness of the rooms and some of the reception staff

    Pool and sauna

Bed too soft,no information in room and expensive fish and chips sachets of condiments (ketchup and vinegar) "McDonald's style" not acceptable for £21 !!

Everything, we’ve stayed here several times, the location is the best. We love the breakfasts, such a great selection. The pool is lovely too.

Staff are very friendly and go above and beyond

Room was a bit dusty outside area very untidy and patio dangerous with uneven slabs

    7SandraPosted on: 2-5-2026

Nice comfy bed and the room had table and chairs to sit on. Good bathroom and all the shampoo/shower gel were provided. Breakfast was excellent and staff were very attentive. The car park was great and the hotel was easy to find . the location was very good with beautiful views of the water and bird life.

The stair carpets were a bit worn and we did struggle at one point with the app to book a table in the restaurant but soon resolved. Shame there were no lifts as with luggage and knee replacement I struggled a bit.

    Facilities, reception staff, location

Housekeeping was very poor. We reported items of clothing in a draw, no shower gel, only 2 shampoos. One tissue left in the box. Reported all issues, reception were supportive. Housekeeping then left a note saying room cleaned...Items of clothing still not removed even though we had explained where they could be found. Still no shower gel. Went to reception again, who were very polite and apologetic. They called senior housekeeper who was brilliant and dealt with the issues. Was also told we could only have hot chocolate on first night of stay, even though we had paid for 2 nights. Totally bizarre. We were in room 42.

Fantastic amenities, warm clean pool and hot tub, large clean rooms with extremely comfortable beds. We had a lovely complimentary bottle of bubbly and a cup cake as it was my husbands birthday treat. Everything needed in the rooms teas, coffees hot chocolate, bottles of water even iron and ironing board. The breakfast was first class self served buffet, full hot breakfast as well as cereals, toast, pastries and juices. I am coeliac and nothing was too much of a problem. The bar that we used in the evening were not too over priced and plenty of seating for all. Loved every minute of our stay.

One very very small thing, ( no GF sausages at breakfast, but thats just a tiny tiny little thing.

The bedroom we had was absolutely stunning salon with the comfortable bed.

    The bath was small

The dining room is lovely and looks out across the harbour, the reception and waiting staff are very pleasant, great location for getting out and about. It's a nice looking hotel but I think it needs a refresh. My bed was very comfortable and I did sleep fairly well.

The hotel itself is a little tired looking, the passage way carpets are threadbare in places, some of the seating in the bar area is stained and looks gross, I sat on a cushion as I didn't want to sit on the stained seat without a barrier between us. The paint work in my room could do with a refresh and the room very cold when I first entered, the bathroom floor was very cold!! Was supplied with a heater but it only had a short cord so you had to locate it where you would be able to get some heat around the room. My room wasn't cleaned on the second day, I don't know if that's the policy if you're only staying a couple of nights? I was restricted with menu options as I have coeliac disease, I ordered a sandwich after our arrival, it was OK but I've had better. Dinner was nice on the first night but I suffered tummy upset during the night, dinner on the second night wasn't that enjoyable sadly. I just find it hard to accept that in this day and age food intolerance isn't really catered for, if supermarkets can provide the goods, why can't hotels? My allergy isn't a 'fad' it's a lifelong issue

Adjoining rooms as requested.Generally clean.Breakfast was good, including veggie options.Friendly staff.

We were expecting harbour facing rooms but we were overlooking more car park than harbour. Some mould on shower house.Would have benefitted from complimentary small biscuit pack to go with the provided tea/coffees.Breakfast could have included more dried fruits/nuts.Reception were unwilling to offer even an extra 1hr delayed checkout for just 1 of our 2 rooms, citing that the cleaners require at least 24hrs advance notice - bizarre!

Really good hotel with everything you would need for a relaxing break and within easy reach of local attractions.Staff very helpful.

Shower curtain. I know it’s a minor thing but one of my pet hates.
