    Pros +

    • Great location near to Blackhorse Road underground and to Walthamstow High Street. Excellent room, good size with the bed and desk and enough floor space to move around in, good bathroom with a lovely shower. The window could open and the radiator could be turned on so temperature was in your hands. Very comfortable bed, good lamp and a really good selection of plug sockets for your devices. The room had a fridge and a kettle, and coffee etc. Really a good base for me, both for Walthamstow/Leyton and for going into London proper
    • My daughter attended semester abroad just up the block. just at the corner was a high street shopping that was very colorful. the room was comfortable for my wife and me.Security was excellent. Staff were willing to go the extra mile.
    • Great value for the location, as the neighborhood is much cleaner and safer than similar priced places. The staff were easy to get a hold of and access to the building and room was easy and you don't have to worry about carrying around keys (cardless/keyless). The room with the private bathroom was cozy. Lot of restaurants and markets nearby. Great access to the subway tube, one <5min walk and another 8min walk. If arriving from Stansted Airport, I recommend Standsted Express to Liverpool Street, then transfer to Weaver Line to Chingford but exit St James Station (if Chingford is not an option from Liverpool as they are less frequent, take the Weaver Line to Hackney Downs and transfer to St James there). That is the shortest walk to the hotel.

    Cons -

    • The traffic noise took a night to get used to, but I knew it would so that was no problem, my own estate where I live is quiet at night but very few other places are
    • instructions for the shower adjustment.
    • Nothing negative, just be aware before booking the stairs are a little tight and narrow if that concerns you.

The double bed is not suitable for two normal sized people (narrow). It is very hot in the room because you can't keep the window open at night because of the street traffic.

Great straightforward hotel, nice, clean, well set up room. Very comfortable

    8AndrewPosted on: 4-9-2025

Trinity House Hotel was very clean and comfortable, with a location convenient to my business activities, e.g., close to public transport, restaurants/shops also within walking distance. I really like the fact Trinity House is an architecturally pleasant, older building, rather than a high-rise. Coffee/tea maker and mini-refrig in the room is a helpful amenity.

I would have preferred a non-scented or less heavily perfumed soap. Please consider having fragrance-free soap.

    Bad

It was cold there was no heating We had shower but no blow dryer to dry our hair

    8DavidPosted on: 3-28-2025

Very helpful and friendly staff, exceptionally clean, great value for money a short walk from the tube-and nice and quiet.

The carpet in my room is needing an update

    3RodPosted on: 3-26-2025

    It had off road parking

All communications for access to the house and the room were on the phone. It was a glorified Air B&B, the TV reception was poor/non existent. Whilst the room was tidy and the bed comfortable, I did not feel comfortable staying there.

    8HarrietPosted on: 3-25-2025

The room was spotless clean, and my questions about parking were very quickly replied to by the owner. The room was warm and spacious. It was a short walk to the Victoria Line tube station, which is a 10 minute ride into the centre of London.

It was a little noisy in my room as it was at the front of the house.

Location was perfect for our needs and the room we had was quiet apart from noises made during the night by over zealous and amorous neighbours!Staff were friendly/accommodating and definitely have decor touches which could make this the place to stay in Walthamstow

For the nightly fee charged I did not expect the dingy warren like corridor to the many rooms, having graffiti scratched along the headboard, dust along the space between headboard and the beds, damp patches on the ceiling, white patches along the very thin and badly fitted carpet which were evidence of damp, rusty shower and curtain rails, having to squeeze myself round the sink to be able to sit on the toilet, unable to shut the bathroom door as it was too warped with the constant condensation in the ensuite, patches of plaster repair along some of the walls and very uncomfortable beds. Hoping the owners plough some money in to the property to rectify these faults and make their place the envy of Walthamstow

Good location, brilliant that we had free parking. Nice sized room

Needs some upkeep - paintwork etc

The rooms were tidy and well kept, nicely decorated with a great atmosphere with stupendous showers. The staff and housekeepers were friendly and kind. Also a great location.

    Very convenient and comfortable

TV took a while sus. We don't like artificial flowers

    10MelishaPosted on: 2-5-2025

It was very clean and tidy, the owner was friendly and answered any queries I had, quickly plus directed us to some cafes for breakfast.

It was more like an Air b&b so no receptionist or breakfast

    7McKeeverPosted on: 2-4-2025

The hotel was in a perfect spot. We were visiting my sister who lives close to the hotel. Also, it is right between an Underground and Overground station, so it is convenient when traveling to London. Great restaurants in the area as well, and there are lots of options.Within walking distance to a Banksy as well!

You need to understand this is a no frills lodging. The room is small. But if you understand that is what you are getting for the rate you are paying, it is fine. However, our room was facing the main street, and I would have loved some darker curtians to block out the street lights. The room was hot, too, with no way to adjust the temperature . I'm not sure if they had the heat high for us Floridians visiting in January or if that is normal for them.

It's amazing value for money to be honest I didnt expect it to be perfect we only picked it as it was close to our family and we were visiting to see our new grandson. But it was fantastic really cozy clean and friendly place we loved it and we will be back ❤️

Everything was very good for the money it was great

    8MikePosted on: 11-30-2024

The room was clean, with excellent facilities. The location was convenient to get to using public transport. Easy check in and out process.

The nearby main road is noisy. Even with the windows shut I would recommend taking ear plugs.
