- We stayed at The Inn on Loch Lomond and were thoroughly impressed from start to finish. Our deluxe room offered the most spectacular view of Ben Lomond — an unforgettable sight to wake up to. The room was beautifully presented, spotless and extremely comfortable, with everything thoughtfully provided. The dining experience was exceptional. Every meal was expertly prepared and full of flavour — particular compliments to the chef. The wine selection was excellent, breakfast was superb, and the coffee was genuinely very good. The combination of breathtaking scenery, comfortable surroundings and high standards throughout made for a truly memorable stay. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and would happily recommend to others.
- Location, peacefulness and space.
Cons -
- close to road, truck and car noise all night long, hot room with no cooling and if opened window, noise. Staff played music at night in lobby and I could hear it. The room was ok, but the curtains in the bathroom were filthy
- Room was needing an update I’d say.
- Smokers hanging out at entry. Have to walk through fumes to enter.

Room was needing an update I’d say.
Great location. Friendly staff. View from room.
Smokers hanging out at entry. Have to walk through fumes to enter.
I think the location is absolutely wonderful , with some truly awesome views. The beds are very comfy, accompanied by the options to bathe or shower is great. The cleanliness was very thorough.
However the green led lights that shine inside the rooms all night were not so good. This left disturbed sleep, accompanied by a headache. The evening menu could do with a little improvement, explaining some ingredients are incorporated into the meats , rather than as a topping. This caused issues with one persons dietary needs.
Food was amazing
We couldn't get a taxi at a reasonable price into Luss.. It was not walking distance as I thought I'd read on the booking.com site
Location, lots of character, good size rooms, nice bar and restaurant, good parking, easy to walks by the loch.
Restaurant was really good and the staff were lovely .
The place was nice, but we’d stayed in two comparable places just before which offered better value for money. Also, you really need to like dogs if you stay in this hotel.
Beautiful location and wonderful staff
Bed very creaky and menu wee bit pricey
Friendly staff, good food, great location for visiting Loch Lomond, really dog friendly
Could hear people moving around in the rooms upstairs, balcony doors where quite drafty
A cosy hotel/ restaurant on the lake side. Comfortable and well equipped room. A great restaurant. Would definitely use again.
What a great decision to stay here. It’s a genuinely dog friendly hotel in a great location. The friendliness of the staff was exceptional, the dinner and breakfast menus and food quality were excellent. Great value for money!
Lovely Inn full of history and such a great location for visiting Loch Lomond and the surrounding areas!
Staff and location
Food and very cold bathroom
Staffs attitude
Clean toilet had a razer an pupic hair in the sink disgusting
It’s a perfect base for exploring the Loch Lomond area. The lady at the reception was exceptionally friendly and kind. The hotel also offers convenient parking and a nice restaurant.
I had asked if there was any possibility of having a bath in the room as .my fiancé has fibromyalgia and a bath relaxes him and eases his pain. However I was informed they would do their best as I hadn't booked that particular room. To my utter surprise there was a shower AND bath in the bathroom and I didn't even know. I was so happy and my fiancé had suck a lovely, pain easing bath! The staff were so nice and the surrounding areas beautiful too. The bed sheets are super soft and comfortable.
A lot of creaking as you walk around your room and you can hear people walking in the hall but because the building is 200 years old, it just adds to the ambience of the hotel.
It was on the way to some hiking trails, and we did enjoy the live music in the bar!
It was a bit dated
Views from the room were great.
Rooms were really small and quite noisy.
Warm Friendly staff Cracking view from my room Nice clean room
All good
