Location is misleading, it is advertised as being in the port city of Oban, but it is a long ways away, making staying there unrealistic

The view was the best feature.

Bed was diabolical, room was tired and could have been better cleaned.

We had a beautiful stay at the Loch Melfort hotel. We had stayed at a chain hotel the night before nearby and this was our favourite hotel of the two. No wonder this hotel has awards, other hotels should take notes. Staff were superb! Very friendly, helpful and on the ball. Food was delicious! Room had beautiful view over the loch, beds very comfortable and the room was very clean.

Could hear next door talking through the walls. Peppermint in the body wash - hot! Not ideal

What an amazing stay. We loved every minute of it! The view, the room, and the food were absolutely fantastic. We will definitely be back again!

The views from hotel were amazing. Food was excellent. Staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. The whole ambiance of the place was exceptional.

The location is beautiful and the food is absolutely first class.

The toilet seat was very old and stained (although clean) the duvet cover has a few little holes in it.

Nothing really

Food was amazing and all staff we met were wonderful. Our dog was also made to feel very welcome.

Some of the fixtures in the sea view cabins are in need of replacement. A bit of wear and tear showing through.

The setting was beautiful. The breakfast was very good. I loved looking out into the Loch while dining. A bonus was going into the garden next door free.

I didn’t Iike that I had to leave!

Room was cold when we arrived but this was soon remedied.

A fantastic location and great locally sourced food. Room was very comfortable.

We had a garden-facing room, but could glimpse the loch to one side. Comfortable and warm, but obviously not as impressive as the loch-facing room we had on a previous visit. Food was good.

We were surprised to have 10% service charge added to the whole amount, including restaurant, room and reception. You could request some of this to be removed, but who wants to appear a skinflint?

Fantastic location. Restaurant food is second to none. We were also lucky to enjoy a music night where local folks sang and played for us.We had the best experience - cannot recommend highly enough - a 12 out of 10

Prefer walk in shower to a shower in a bath.

Very relaxed and comfortable place to stay with great food and excellent service.

Bar and dining areas a little bit stark and not so cosy in winter
