Pros +
- Breakfast and snacks were very good - quality food. We booked the Honey Suite - ground floor accessible room. The jacuzzi bath was lovely. The room was beautiful - enough furniture and very tasteful. Large TV, table and chairs for meals, sofa for lounging and a desk. Robes provided too, perfect for morning coffee on the balcony.
- The facilties were incredible and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and fresh. What really made the stay extra special though was the staff- from the owner to the receptionist, everybody was outstanding and we cannot wait to come again!
- Staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was beautiful and in a great location.
Cons -
- We paid nearly £900 for 2 nights Fri/Sat in The Honey Suite - photos showed an accessible ground floor room - we then didn't have use of the hot tub as my partner couldn't physically get in, it was not as pictured - so instead of offering a partial refund or complimentary drinks with dinner, as they'd sold us something they couldn't deliver - we were told to leave if we didn't like it. Absolutely shocking customer service - at no point did the manager come to speak to us directly, they hid behind the receptionist who was asked to pass on messages. The room was not totally accessible and the hotel staff/manager/owner's attitude when we raised an issue was awful. The hot tub area pictured for the Honey Suite is not the hot tub area you get when you arrive. In the photos there is a ledge and a step in, meaning my partner would be able to get in - she has physical disabilities so this room was booked as everything was accessible for her. Only the hot tub was not accessible for her and when we raised this the response was awful. They apologised for not updating the website, the old hot tub had broke so it had to be replaced. We were not made aware of this prior to our visit. They offered to try and move us upstairs - not ok, we booked ground floor for a reason. They offered to put steps the other side of the hot tub, which would mean my partner walking round the front of the hotel, through the carpark and in the gate to the hot tub. Again, not something my partner was comfortable with. The attitude to this was, well it'll be dark so no one would see you - you cant use the hot tub past 9.30pm, its still light then. We were then advised that the manager (not present but contacted on the phone) had passed on the message that they would refund us for the Saturday night if we would be more comfortable elsewhere, we could check out.
- At check-in we were told we were too late to eat in the restaurant? 5pm they needed to know by but I never saw this at any point of booking or asked when the booking was confirmed, so that was annoying. I then had to walk in to the nearest town to find food, after what was a long day, it was only 6pm too when we checked in. On getting to the room we found Netflix did not work and would not work so movies were out that night sadly, They were very strict on when you can and can't use the jet bath but I get that for other customers but you had a notice board near the bath stating if you over fill the bath and water goes in to the rooms below you'll be billed. Our bath was not over filled and it still kept firing water over the top, to make it worse there was mouldy silicone around the bath and it was no longer sealing the bath, so water was travelling down the back of it, on top of that it had a shower but no curtain? So we were not going to risk that, especially as the head was positioned in the roof, pointing at the floor, not the bath??Sauna was ok but just a tad tiny to really sit in comfort. At 6'3" this room was probably not the best option with it been in the roof, so many low beams and ceiling made it tricky for me. Sadly when we checked out we found our vehicle had an issue which required the AA to attend, so we had to wait at first 1-2 hours which the hotel said we could stay in the lounge, it was then saying up to 5 hours, but the hotel could not serve us any tea as we had checked out which I found strange, especially after we had just spent hundreds of pounds with them? This was very disappointing and not very British at all, so we would have to keep making a 20-30 minute round trip by foot just to get a drink.
- Absolutely nothing to dislike

Unique, very clean. Friendly and welcoming staff. Breakfast was lovely.
The room was positioned in the roof of the hotel so there was like lots of little rooms off from one another which was nice, also a nice size bedroom, big tv, huge jet bath and a really nice relaxing room next to the sauna. There was also a dining area if you wished to of eaten in your room which was nice and the views from the windows of the area were nice. Possible one of the best breakfast I've ever had in any hotel, this really was a great Full English they offer.

Staff were brilliant, room was lovely, meal in the hotel was 10/10 !
Beautiful hotel, excellent standards, breakfast was perfect.. the whole experience of this boutique hotel was thoroughly enjoyable ... staff were very welcoming and attentive throughout our stay . We are already planning our next visit.. thankyou . Facilities were enjoyable and standard of cleanliness and hotel decor very tasteful .
Absolutely nothing to dislike
Really good location between Bowness and Windermere. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Loved the size of our suite with all the different little rooms
The time restrictions for using the spa bath.
We had a lovely time in this area, made even more pleasurable by this lovely boutique hotel with very pleasant staff and a super breakfast.
Lovely restful place to stay, lots of facilities, everything you needed. The spa bath was the best feature, ample amount of towels, lovely warm rooms. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable on the area for food etc Breakfast was great ?
Loved the warm welcome the room was fab with the spa bath and free drink as we arrived
The only negative I have about our stay was the water fountain in the bathroom was constantly running and loud we couldn’t hear the tele in the spa bath, I went and asked could it been turned off but they said there was no way of doing it I couldn’t sleep that night as even with the door shut I could still hear it and then when we went for breakfast another ember of staff asked why I didn’t turn it off ? so it could be turned off Still had a good time just slightly disappointed because it could have been better
It was very central... lovely and clean.... so relaxing and the lady who greeted us at reception was just so lovely friendly and helpful... They had left a birthday card for my husband as it was a birthday trip away... which I thought was such a lovely teacher...
No complaints... a little warm through the night...
Very clean, spacious and private too. Staff were welcoming and the attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed.
The whole experience from check in to check out was amazing we will be returning again. The lovely lady on reception was super helpful and the gentleman who checked us in too The room and the hot tub/steam room was fantasticThe rainfall shower in the room was amazing too
Everything was absolutely perfect
It was an amazing stay here this week. Rooms & facilities lovely. What made it even better were the staff. A very special shout out to Catherine & Elina who made our stay! Catherine cooked some amazing food and provided a welcome atmosphere as did Elina who looked after our every need. Great location, we can not wait to book again. Highly recommend. Thank you.
All good
The hotel was very nice and comfortable the room was excellent very clean spa room was excellent and was cleaned daily as was the towels the breakfast was excellent and hot as we had this in our room both mornings, great location between windermere and bowness 10 minutes walk all the staff we're great and very helpful a tad expensive but due to it being our anniversary it was worth it as the experience of having a hot tub and steam room in a suite and a TV room the owners greeted us on arrival with a worm welcome and a glass of champagne and a card wishing us a happy anniversary was a nice touch will definitely recommend for special treat.
Lovely staff very helpful and accommodating. Our room was beautifully furnished and really comfy. Great location
Everything was goodMaybe fridge in roomwith fresh milk instead of mini cartons
Just a lovely place with brilliant staff (Lucus) ?
In the loft apartment which was lovely but too many different floor levels for my liking but full of character got to see all the other apartments which are utterly amazing so will definitely be trying one of these on our next visit thank you Lucus for showing us around them you really are a credit to the hotel
Very clean and tidy. Very friendly staff.
I feel the love package with the balloons and things was massively over priced and wouldn’t recommend that. The steam room didn’t seem to be very hot and was only space for one person to sit down.
Absolutely delighted with our stay. The room was spacious and packed with facilities. The staff were helpful and ensured we were informed of how everything worked.
The room was very hot as it was the top floor but there was a fan provided. The windows were a little hard to open.
