About
With a beautiful riverside location, Rydal Lodge Hotel offers elegant Lake District accommodations, 2 miles from the center of Ambleside. With Lake Windermere just 6 minutes’ drive away, this Cumbrian hotel offers a full breakfast menu and free parking and Wi-Fi. Rooms are traditionally furnished, many enjoying views of the gardens and river. Each has a TV, DVD player and tea and coffee facilities, as well as an en suite or private shower. A Continental and full English/Irish breakfast is served in the dining room, overlooking the gardens and River Rothay. Vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free breakfast is also available. Packed lunches can be ordered in advance, and the hotel also provides a licensed bar and lounge with a wood-burning stove. The hotel is a 4-minute walk from Rydal Mount, the former home of William Wordsworth, which is now a visitor attraction. The Armitt Gallery and Museum in Ambleside is a 2-minute drive away, and The World of Beatrix Potter in Windermere is around 7 miles from Rydal Lodge Hotel.
