The Eagles Hotel

Beautiful surrounds, food was fantastic, pint was cold! Not to mention the room was cozy, bed was comfortable, and shower was hot. Perfect after a long day of traveling and walking.

Breakfast was okay

Evening meal was poor quality & overpriced.

Location. Lovely building. Nice big room. Nice big comfy bed. Large bathroom. Breakfast was tasty and enough without being too much.

Our bedroom had no control of heating it was uncomfortably hot. The shower took a good 10 minutes to get hot. The curtains were very thin.All the hotel carpets were dirty, apart from.our bedroom one. The diner style tables and chairs were not in keeping with the beautiful property.

Staff were very friendly and good at their jobs

The accommodation needs a refresh- renewing carpets, painting etc

The central heating in Room 15 is on maximum permanently, so even with the windows open and a fan it was about 80 degrees! Needs sorting.

Nothing but with few small improvements could charge a lot more. Cleaning of stairs. Doors in rooms are secure and safe, but don't close flush small change. Lovely breakfast, service would stay again and recommend

Lovely character about the place, particularly the bar area. Food was very nice too. Room was good, possibly a little dated but had all the necessities I needed. Would definitely stay again.

The building's exterior presents an aesthetically pleasing appearance.The pricing offers excellent value for the services and products provided.A wide selection of beverages is available, complemented by a well-curated food menu. The evening meal was exceptionally palatable, and the breakfast was of the highest quality.

It is challenging to locate available staff, and the reception area appears unattended.The accommodations appear to be in need of modernization. The bedding quality was unsatisfactory, the kettle was unsanitary, and there was a pervasive presence of cobwebs. Furthermore, the shower facilities, including the showerheads, were unclean and exhibited mold growth.The menus are significantly outdated. Discrepancies exist between the room service menu and the printed menus in the dining area, with several items being unavailable.Discrepancies in the communicated closing times. Specifically, the in-room information states 11:00 PM, a staff member indicated 9:00 PM, and the website also presents varied information.The restaurant's seating, specifically the American-style benches, is incongruous with the building's architectural character and creates an overcrowded environment within the limited space. Similarly, the breakfast area's decor, particularly the black chairs with gold ribbons, does not complement the building's aesthetic. It is recommended that the owner/manager reassess the interior design choices to ensure they align with the building's overall character.I kindly request that you consider addressing the issues I have brought to your attention, as your building possesses remarkable beauty, and with a modest investment, its potential could be significantly enhanced.

Nice location by the river if you like walking. Well stocked bar and a lovely breakfast.

Hotel is a bit neglected, needs money spending on it to bring it upto scratch.Bar has been fitted with ex fast food seating pods and too.many at that, probably bought at auction.

Location, value for money, breakfast and room size, which was enormous.

Shower was good, but sometimes had to wait a while for the temperature to get hot

Hotel room was a little dated but clean and comfortable staff were very friendly and efficient food was to a good standard

My shower wasn't very good but as soon as I mentioned it they let me have a key to a suite with an excellent shower room

Our room was big.. bathroom had a walk in shower.. breakfast was lovely, you could a full English breakfast with toast tea or coffee and you could also have cereal to start, definately fills you up

We couldn't open our window in our room.
