Clean , very chilled , nice hotel & little spa
The hotel was situated in lovely surroundings. Everywhere was clean and tidy, though wedding ribbons on archway rather untidy looking.Spa was a lovely experience, the staff were marvelous, as was the massage.
Fortunately I came with friends so had a lift. But I would like to visit again but I use public transport and it's too isolated
Staff were great and a credit to the hotel
Felt like the room wasn’t the cleanest, and found the bed was to hard and uncomfortable
Staff were lovely & very attentive… great restaurant. Room nice & spacious.
The heating in the room was unbearable. Way too hot & the radiators couldn’t be turned down to a lower setting.
We had a junior suite which was huge and very comfortable, with a lovely bathroom. The spa facilities are excellent and the staff are super helpful. We had dinner in the restaurant twice and the food was utterly delicious. I think the only comment I would make is the breakfast is a little expensive for what it is, but if you want the convenience of eating in the hotel instead of going to a cafe, it's perfectly good.
Nothing, it was great!
Breakfast was lovely, nice quality food and staff very nice and friendly. Hotel in a good location for what we were doing. Impressed by the soundproofing, there was a couple of events on but from our room we didn’t hear any noise.
We had a 2 night stay at Kinmel and Kinspa , upon arrival we were told the spa was closed for maintenance but would be open on Saturday. It was open on Saturday morning but the sauna and steam rooms were out of order , the hydrotherapy pool was really cold. Thankfully, by Saturday evening the steam room was up and running and by Sunday the hydro pool was a lot warmer. We purposefully booked the hotel for use of spa facilities sauna/steam rooms and to not be told about them being out of order in advance was disappointing as we would have chosen a different weekend. Room was fine but the cleaning team didn’t replace dirty mugs/ tea/coffee.
Good
Gym and spar where under refurb did not say that on booking
When arriving, the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. When went and had a drink in the bar whilst waiting for our room to be ready and the bar staff were equally friendly. The food in the restaurant was really tasty. Me and my son also enjoyed our slot in the spa, I think 2 hours was more than enough time for a swim etc, plus we lounged by the pool with a drink ordered via the QR code on the table. This was a really nice bonus!
Very minor things. There were only 2 teabags in the room, but this was quickly rectified as I asked for some more when I went down for dinner. There was a slight smell of drains in the bathroom of our particular room, we were at the end of the corridor so it may be that we were the last room on a run of drains.
Beautiful heritage hotel that has retained long serving staff members who were wonderfully friendly and helpful
Because the hotel is in a very old property some of the rooms are perfectly adequate but a little on the small size.
Great facilities. The room, restaurants and spa were all very good. All the staff were friendly and welcoming.
breakfast was good and evening meal was good, could have done with a few more staff
more staff serving
The room was comfortable and the bar was friendly and nice. The food in the restaurant was of a good standard
We booked it for the gym as I need to cycle for physio reasons but the exercise bike was broken. Everyday I asked for an update on its repair but nothing ever happened. Everyday the person on reception claimed they knew nothing about it, or the manager of the spa wasn’t in. They had 2 spinning bikes but you can’t use these for physio - and they were also broken anyway
Friendly helpful staff
Breakfast - was very much DIY without much fresh fruit or range of healthy options.
Very nice spa included with room Good breakfast
Spa changing room awkward & no inside access to the Spa.
Excellent - staff very helpfully at all times - room a good size, comfortable beds and big walk in shower - food was 1st class and good value - hot soufflé for dessert was the best in a long time - thank you chef ! Loved the spa facility Grounds very well maintained- credit to the gardeners
Being a wedding venue did mean disturbed by late night revellers
The staff were very attentive and showed a genuine interest in the guests. We arrived late and missed the dinner service but they arranged for us to have sandwiches and salad on arrival which was very appreciated. The hotel was very clean and well presented. The buffett breakfast was very good offerring cold meats and cheese, cereal, yoghurts, and cooked options.
good spa, quiet rooms, good breakfast and good evening meals
