Lovely location and lovely looking place from the outside
Poor quality room, bedroom window would not shut, tiny shower head and leaking shower, very dated looking bathroom and bedroom, tap was leaking the entire time, bathroom mirror was rusty, just a very under par room compared to the potential the outside portrays
Large room with four poster bed.
Was a little cold.
Staff were really help and close to town centre
Decor was dated and bathroomWas disappointing.
It is such a convenient location right in the centre of town and close to the family we were visiting. The breakfast was delicious - I had the pancakes. The staff were all attentive, professional and friendly. The bed was comfortable and it was very peaceful.
The pancakes were my second choice. I had wanted the avocado and eggs but sadly the avocado delivery was delayed. There was no hook on the bathroom door to hang any clothing - this was a minor inconvenience. The rest of the facilities in the room are all top notch.
Staff were engaging and helpful, the car park was busy but sufficient room and free to residents
No complaints, it is a clean and functional hotel for a short business stopover
The food served in the restaurant and the bar was excellent, they was a good choose. All the staff were very friendly (especially the restaurant and bar staff) and took time to give us some useful information regarding the town we were staying in. I would definitely recommend the Bell Inn to friends and family, and would stay there again. The whole experience of our (joint birthday treat for myself and a close friend) stay really made it extra special.
Great quality breakfast, warm room, loved the double poster bed and the links back to the Dad's Army crew during filming in the 1960s. Staff loaned me a phone charging plug which was most appreciated.
A lift would be much appreciated (I was on the second floor), although I did note that there was no lift at the premises when I booked it. Some softer pillows too wouldn't go a miss.
The hotel is lovely, pretty much all staff were amazing, bed was amazing, breakfast was gorgeous and the whole place has a nice feel to it, will definitely stay again when up that way.
Literally there were only 3 things we could say.....the light in the toilet didn't work which wasnt a problem, the bath and shower need a sort as mould in the silicone which doesnt look great and when we arrived the first lady that greeted us wasnt great and didn't seem like she wanted to be there, obviously just having a bad day as we all do.
Friendly staff good location
The room was freezing and the electric heater is nigh on uselessThe surroundings are tired and in need of a refurb
The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful throughout including helping us with a very late checkout and oh my goodness that was the comfiest bed I have slept in for a very long time
Loved the staff. They were friendly kind and understanding as well as efficient and effective. The room was also great, massive and with an extremely comfy bed and the location was nice and quiet as well as central to town.
Location. Beds comfy bed linen clean.
Bit dated. Bathroom old and dated. Odd hand-wash?.didnt use shower as bath base was stained due to age. Tv a little small for room and on some channels kept pixilating No lift
Bed was comfortable
Food was pretty poor. Was vastly different (or poorly executed) to that outlined on the menu.
Loved the location, the staff were amazing, the room was spacious and bed comfy.Parking easy and dog friendly.Breakfast was fab, great selection and good value.Let down by noise.
Partying to the early hours in an ajacent room and more noise the following night from the bar.Decor a little tired and tap did not turn off completely leaving a dripping noise all night.
Town centre and easy parking (own parking).
Shower was a bit weak
Helpful and friendly staff. Easy check in and out. Clean room and comfortable bed.
It was cold and there were no biscuits to go with the tea and coffee.
The room was good size, and the bed was comfortable. The Staff were very helpful. The location was excellent for our needs.
We could not get a meal as a function was priority over our needs, so we walked to the nearby Weatherspoons pub for meal and drinks. Very disappointing.
