Character, staff were great, room was lovely and very comfortable bed

Bathroom was extremely small and nowhere to put any toiletries. Floor was cold as it was stone tiles

Lovely room, location good for dog walking, relaxed friendly place. Lovely waitress every morning.

Meals were average, first breakfast was not very hot, every breakfast the bacon was over cooked and too crispy to eat. Evening meals were better, although the xmas roast potato's were not very well cooked.

Room 18 really comfy bed and excellent breakfast.

We were also in room C and the sloped ceiling made it hard to get in and out of bed without hitting your head.

Staff very welcoming, nice room - clean and functional and excellent breakfast.

Just perfect for my stay with my dog . Great facilities in the room fridge and microwave. Large comfortable bed with access to courtyard. Food was wholesome and good value. Nice pint of London Pride too. Would definitely stay here again.

I didn’t dislike any thing.

The room was very spacious and comfortable. A good Dinner menu choice. The full English breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day ahead.

Unfortunately there was a regular 'guest' in the bar with a 'potty mouth' that made the atmosphere unpleasant. This was not addressed at the time and would put visitors off. Had we not been staying, we would not have stayed for dinner.

Our room was in a converted cottage up a side lane. It was raining so not ideal to get there. Then there were steep stairs - not easy for people in their 80's. The TV did not work.

Clean and comfortable, free WiFi and wonderful breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

I did not enjoy getting woken up at 05:00 by the chef and staff chatting loudly outside my bedroom window!

It was in a small village and very quiet.The breakfast was very good.All staff friendly and helpfull.

Bedroom carpet dirty stains, although breakfast was fast obviously not as fresh as it could be due to this. Coffee could be nicer. Check in process was a little confusing and slow.

Convenient position. Great dog walks locally. Room was lovely, spacious and clean.

Our room was located in a different building to main hotel.

Old fashioned pub

Lots of dust on the bathroom radiator and extractor fan, also glasses and cups dusty as were the tops of the curtains. Black mould around the shower tray. Lack of attention to detail. One hand towel rather worn around the edges. Some of the Cooked breakfast was cold.

Staff friendly and attentive. Arrived late but no issue checking in. No issues whatsoever really, everything made easy. Great food and nice atmosphere in pub. Equally in breakfast room, again staff very friendly, attentive and informative on local area and services. Difficult to find fault, good value for money

Finding fault - those awful semi skimmed milk pots that destroy anything half decent to drink. Decent coffee would've been a nice addition to the Twinings tea
