- Very helpful staff - even helped with our luggage. The food was excellent. The location was stunning - tucked away from the main tourist areas and with a beautiful view of the sea.
Cons -
- First impressions not good, the carpark was very tight and narrow. Overgrown with broken furniture and overflowing bins. The room was terrible, I didn't think places like it existed anymore. Tired, dated, not clean, black mould around the bath taps, ceiling, duvet covered in long black hairs not sure if it was even changed from previous guest, strange plinth up over the bed, paint peeling off ceiling, cobwebs. Spoiled the last night of our holiday, would have checked out only it was too late to find elsewhere, really really disappointing.
- The bathroom worked OK, but needed attention, e.g. the shower was very slow to drain and although we thought it would overflow, it never did.
- Our room (10) in the coach house smelt very damp (although efforts had been made to mask this with air fresheners), the plumbing was also very noisy each time the toilet was flushed or any water was run. The bathroom was quite run down and could do with a general refresh

Staff were lovely, breakfast was great, linen was clean, great that it's dog friendly.

Location was good
The room was very poor quality. The plumbing was very noisy and the toilet cistern failed. Friends who stayed in the main house said the rooms were good but the room in the annex had no redeeming features and was more 70’s boarding house than four star hotel. When I pointed out that I had to sort the plumbing at 11pm the only response I got was that no one else had complained.
Perfect location. Beautiful setting.
Address was difficult to find. The property uses multiple variations on its name, some of which are not recognized on maps or GPS systems.
Breakfast and dinner were excellent with a good choices on the menu. All the staff were friendly, helpful and nothing was too much for them.the rooms could do with a little TLC but the hotel was very comfortable. My wife and I returned home feeling very relaxed after our short stay.
Beautiful accomodation & we were lucky to have a room with a sea view. Great amenities & lovely breakfast included with perfect hosts
Stunning location with very friendly staff. Dinner was fantastic and they were very accommodating to our dogs. All in all a wonderful stay in a lovely hotel.

Nothing to dislike at all
Food was amazing Bed was comfortable
Value for money was a bit weak.Expected big room
A gem. Great food, comfy room and a warm welcome. Very handy for a beautiful beach. Great breakfast.
Lorna and all the staff were really kind and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, including providing a complementary birthday cake for my Dad
The rooms were a little bit cold. But we understand that it is a very old property
The view, the room, the breakfast is excellent! We got upgraded and got a very big room with cot for our baby. The view from the room is amazing and the common area with the fire place very great
The room was a bit cold despite the additional heater which was not ideal with an 8 months baby
Great location. Great friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food. Very dog friendly.
Breakfast was outstanding...good variety and choice.
Room quite small and quite dated...comfortable non the less.
The breakfast was lovely and plenty of it. The view was stunning from our room and the gardens the room was very clean.
It wasn’t that we didn’t like the building but as it’s 900 years old, the interior decoration showed it and needed attention in parts. It was disappointing the evening meals was cancelled but not unexpected, the pub down the road did excellent food at fair prices.
Good location. Great spot. The bed and room were clean and warm. Plenty of hot water. Main breakfast dish was tasty.
the hotel is a little shabby. The small light in the bathroom didn't work. Bathroom was bare and uninviting. Cheap biscuits. Cobwebs. The main breakfast was good but the fruit was old and stale. Could've been better for the price.
The location is amazing. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was excellent.
