    • Booked the Pickwick Inn for the night as we had visited it many times for food and drinks over the years whilst holidaying in the area. We stayed the Friday night before moving to Bigbury on sea and had a wonderful night. The bar banter was great and the food was good.
    • Old and quirky character to the place, room was warm and we had space to hang our wet clothes! Bed was very comfortable. We had our evening meal in the Inn and this was delicious - they also accommodated our dietary requirements.

    Cons -

    • The continental breakfast could have been better but served its purpose. A full breakfast is offered after 10=00am for an extra cost.
    • The breakfast included was 'continental' - though after 10am we could buy something hot!
    • Breakfast was poor, not even bread for toastWash hand basin patheticBathroom small

Friendly pub, friendly landlord, good evening food and beer.

    Fresher croissants!

The mattress on the bed was good.

The postcode said Kinsgsbridge but the pub OK was 8 miles away and we had booked a table at a restaurant in the town thinking it would be a short walk to it.The room was tiny almost claustrophobic. No wardrobe but a hanger for clothes. The shower room was tiny you coudnt move and washing and shaving in the tiny wash bowl very difficult. To get hot water you had to put the hot tap on and run the shower which was very noisy and antiquated. It was a very uncomfortable stay and we were glad to leave. It advertised with Breakfast but that turned out to be serve yourself, cereal, yoghurt and toast in a totally inappropriate tiny room behind the bar..shall we say more a storage place.Having stayed in many places here and abroad this was easily the smallest and most uncomfortable of the many we have stayed in.

was greeted politely by staff, the food in the bar itself was nice.

the choices at breakfast was very little. the room was dirty, could do with having towels. the TV did not work, there was dirt and things not sure on the window sill. The breakfast room was cluttered. there was wood in the breakfast room not inviting at all.

We arrived a little late as the cycling was harder than anticipated. The landlord was very helpful and showed us where to leave our bikes in the secure bike yard. He made sure we got our evening meal ordered in time and this was good.

The plumbing in the en suite was quaint and rather alarming. The following morning we had to sort out our own breakfast which was not a problem as everything was there to be used. But it did a take a while to find a mug that did not contain dust and fluff (avoid the bottom shelf).

    Location is good.

Very basic for £90 per head. Breakfast quite depressing.Ridiculously loud pumping noise when using any taps or toilet in bathroom.

    Staff were ok and friendly

Room was too small shower didn't work properly beds were uncomfortable no tv it didn't work

    Location.

The room was dingy and dirty. Bathroom smelt.Whole room and bathroom needed top to tail refurbishment. Stairs and hallway leading to rooms equally depressing and in need of serious refurbishment too. Not wanting confrontation we paid up and left within 20 minutes without staying.

Absolutely NOTHING, had to find alternative accommodation due to the state and smellOf the room!

The mould and the cigarette smell as well as lack of ventilation

    10MatthewPosted on: 4-4-2024

Room was comfortable. Staff were friendly.

Breakfast items were cold. Although I belive this was a one off error, the warmer hadn't stayed on or turned on. It wasn't that bad though.

Location was a really close (5 mins) to Mont Folly Farm/Burgh Island for weddings. Right next to post office shop. All staff were really friendly and helpful. John even dropped us down to the Mont Folly Farm (twice) - thanks John ?? breakfast was mega and tasty and had a few drinks with John and the crew at the end of the night

    Nothing to say

The staff were very friendly and inviting eith a very chilled atmosphere for the whole stay. The food was decent with some epically nice chips. Overall, it was a really nice stay for one night.

Unfortunately, when we arrived, no one made a note of our booking, so the rooms were not ready, and the check-in felt unprepared. The rooms didn't look like they had been cleaned very well.

Freindly staff, comfortable bed, clean bathroom huge breakfast. Extra late checkout. Easy parking, directions, proximity to Salcombe

Thin roads with bends so passing other cars is a little tricky in the area. But it is a beautiful area

Lovely friendly staff, good shower, comfortable bed, nice breakfast

The room was a little dusty

    Full of historic characteristics.

    Lack of comfortable seating.

    Personally prepared - very acceptable

It was a very small room for 3 people and their luggage.
