The staff was fabulous. The food is decent. A fan was provided. Two chocolate bars were left for us.

They don't tell you that the rooms are tiny and the en suite bathrooms are not much bigger than most closets. The room are stuffy. We balanced the floor fan in the closet neat the opened window to pull in as much air as possible. They also don't warn you that it is 8 rooms above a bar. It probably doesn't matter Sunday through Thursday but it does Friday and Saturday nights if you expect to get any sleep. There is no elevator. The stairs are steep and narrow. Parking is about 2 blocks away, if you are lucky. We had to unlock the front door at 7:30 the next morning to be able to leave.

The room and view were lovely. The staff were friendly. The in room water, coffee, and treats were a touch above.

Food in the bar/restaurant was a little, "just Ok" The "Scampi" was in reality, just shrimp bits chopped in a breading (frozen product. fish and chips looked fresh and was good, Sticky toffee pudding was great!! Staff was very friendly and helpful with everything.

Need to check the window sill on the outside, I saw a lot of black mold, luckily on the outer window, but that would put a lot of people off.

Good location in the center of town close to restaurants and markets.

Single room was a bit small.

Exellent location!: shops, parking, & nice walks nearby. Management was at hand, helpful & convivial. Excellent & extremely convenient breakfast!

The lighting in my room had bulbs hanging out of sockets in the ceiling, no shades on the bedside lights and the bathroom mirror on off control is a law unto itself. Eventually I worked out that to switch it off you put your finger in a hole on the right hand side and pray you don't get electrocuted. Not great for an electric appliance in a bathroom!

Room was clean, fresh and well maintained. Breakfast was simple, but good selection of continental goodies and plenty of places round about for a hot breakfast. Meals in the accommodation are excellent although never ate in the hotel this stay,but have done recently and never fails on quality! Easy come and go from the hotel and local to all needs from shops for the room in terms of snacks, beverages and takeaways. Will definitely book again in the near future. Stayed in most hotels in callendar and this is up there!

Parking. No designated parking on street or car park but plenty of spaces available within walking distance.

We stayed in room 8 which was a lovely room. The only downside was the table and chairs in the room was like something from a farmhouse. We like going out and about then going back to the room to chill for a bit and the chairs are really uncomfortable, maybe a couple of soft relaxing chairs and a coffee table would be a good idea

Really nice clean room. Continental breakfast with a really good selection available. Dinner was really good. Service was so friendly and welcoming.

Location on the high street but rooms are quiet, also attractively furnished.
