The Waverley Hotel

The room was very nice, comfortable and lovely decorated. Though on the high street, the place was quiet and we had a perfect night's sleep.Dog friendly place

The pub food was of average quality. So was the welcome when we checked in. But it was probably due to the fact that it was the peak hour...

Location, staff were very friendly, comfortable bed, parking available nearby , lovely food at great prices, plenty of football on the large TV'S, room was warm enough

Holes in the bedroom wall, breakfast not great, TV in room did not work, all areas could be improved with a little painting, mould in shower cubicle

The guy working at breakfast was great, really great service and funny too. Loved the Bluetooth mirror!! Great decor.

Our room wasn't as clean as we'd like - carpet covered in hair (human and dog!), but otherwise was great.

Location is excellent. Close to hikes and historic places.

The shower was mildewy in every corner and in the grout. Otherwise it was clean and comfortable.

Nicely located in the middle of the village with some shops around (incl. bakery), short walk to river with nice playground. Old building, but overall clean. Great food for diner.

Breakfast very Scottish and meat-centric, a bit of toast would be nice. But overall good quality!

For our needs the place was perfect. Only one night but pleasant, pub connected to the hotel where we ate very well. Perfect Scottish breakfast!

Room was a little tired and bathroom fittings could do with some fixing- light cord was really high and impossible for my son to reach.

Spacious room, clean & tidy. Breakfast staff exceptional, attentive, cheerful & friendly. Lovely helpful cleaning staff too.

Poor choice of beers, no Abbots as it has apparently been "coming soon" for over 3 weeks. Only draught cider was Strongbow, which I doubt had ever seen an apple! This caused us to drink elsewhere, apart from a glass of wine each night.

Best breakfast ever had, quality of produce wonderful, room clean tidy, comfortable all essentials. Dinner was superb although only let down was no sirloin steak, but our meals were great, also made our little dog welcome everywhere in hotel, very friendly staff

Good location greeneking establishment reasonably priced good rate room inc full cooked breakfast cereal on and filter coffee. Staff extremely helpful friendly . Good sized double room . Big windows let in plenty daylight. Walking rob roy way comfy bed appreciated

Room above bar some slight noise bar door banging my room at front so you could ask room at back building if you need it mostly people goin out to vape .very hot sunny weekend so maybe busier than usual. ALL quiet by midnight Friday and Saturday.

Steven was very helpful and tried to hp us with any questions/queries we had during our stay.the rooms were clean and spacious,just missing a tv remote control ,wallpaper cming off in main bedroom.breakfast wasn't great.

We only had overnight stay with breakfast. The room was very comfortable and there was no noise from other rooms.

Spacious and very clean room, nice food, great hospitality. Superb location. It is easy to find a parking space close to the hotel. Despite being on the main road, relatively quiet, especially at night. Comfortable beds. Fantastic, we would love to visit again!

Hotel is of good basic standard. The staff are all exceptional with great attitudes. The room was clean with a comfortable bed and the "Big" breakfast was excellent. Also catered well for Vegetarians at breakfast which is also a positive.

Breakfast was delicious, very nicely laid buffet breakfast table too! The room was spacious and very clean. Dinner was well cooked and reasonably priced.

It wasn't easy to get on the WiFi but we weren't that bothered, no car park but some off street parking.
