Pros +
- The welcome and friendly staff
- Nice room with a view, friendly staff and great breakfast.
- Fantastic breakfast, really impressed by the food and the owner was lovely. Very comfortable stay
Cons -
- Limited parking options and getting big bags up the stairs is a challenge.
- No signal to TV
- Slightly disapointed that we weren't in the room that we thought we had booked. Although we were in the four poster room, which I didn't like, the bed was very comfortable. I understand this is an old and quirky property but this room was a little tatty and in need of fresh decoration. Also there was mould in the bathroom, the smell wasn't very nice. Could do with a good clean and the grout requires renewing.

Fantastic breakfast, really impressed by the food and the owner was lovely. Very comfortable stay
Clean, staff friendly and close to amenities.
A lovely traditional inn with modern facilities in a perfect location for the family wedding we were attending. Highly recommended.
Great location, centre of town. Old building, okay room, tea & coffee, shower, comfy bed
No signal to TV
Nice comfortable bed, lovely old building, good shower, nice friendly staff.
Beautiful pub in heart of pretty village. We were a group of friends walking the South Downs way and this was the perfect night’s accommodation. Delicious food in lively bar. The staff are exceptional - so friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome.
The food was excellent and all the staff were very friendly and made us feel relaxed and welcome. Cocktails were fabulous, got our weekend off to a great start.

The location was great, right in the middle of beautiful historic Midhurst. It was easy walking distance to our family, which was the reason for our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Our stay was for two nights over Christmas and we weren't provided with breakfast either day, although we were given fresh coffee on one of the mornings.
The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding. Staff were very helpful
The room was slightly dated but nothing awful
The atmosphere, the pub itself, the staff.
Room was exceedingly poor, dreadful stained, thin old mattress, flat lifeless pillows, totally lacking in every aspect, including decor, dirty rusty shower tray , a mangled light fitting with the broken bits in bedside drawer, I could go on! Terrible nights sleep, glad I didn't check on the state of the mattress before the morning or O wouldn't have slept on it! I have plenty of photos to prove my statements.
Bed comfortable and extra bedding and heating provided
Initial welcome - we’re closed. Then told no facility to leave luggage before check in. No terrestial television and streamed tv requested passwords/membership etc. So no live tv available. Parking a good 1/2 mile from facility, very limited parking nearby if lucky to grab a space. Noisy young staff after hours disturbed sleep. Left next morning only received 1/2 of 4 day booking refund.
Beautiful building, lovely bath, comfortable bed, large bed room, really friendly staff and delicious veggie breakfast. Harvey's beer, which is always a plus. Happy to cater for someone who is allergic to dairy, which is appreciated. Surrounded by delightful old buildings and close to the shops and cafes. We had a great time.
It was a Saturday and the place was lively with live music, followed by non live music, on the ground floor. Our room was directly above this and it was loud. The sound proofing was poor, so you could hear it very clearly and loudly in the room. The music did stop at midnight, but you couldn't really sleep before then or watch tv. We didn't particularly mind, but if you wanted quiet, it would not be for you. As I say, it was Saturday night, so perhaps to be expected. However, because the speakers are up against the ceiling downstairs, you can even hear the music in your room when it is at a fairly low level, such as during breakfast time.
The staff were all really friendly and welcoming. We were recommended to park in a carpark really nearby that was really cheap and had cctv. I was really impressed with the room it was en-suite , really nicely decorated and had tea and coffee making facilities. The bed was really comfortable and the bedding was of a high standard. It was situated right in the centre of Midhurst so that was good. The breakfast was fantastic, it was well cooked and really tasty. I would definitely recommend for the price .
The traffic noise woke us up before 6am. The fan over the shower was covered in thick dust.
Historic building with a beautiful bar. Breakfast was delicious. Central location within Midhurst.
Great historic room with four poster.
Off-site breakfast and no parking
Very nice staff. Excellent food.
Bit noisy but not big problem
