    Pros +

    • High standard of accommodation. Staff were most welcoming and helpfulFood was outstanding and reasonably priced. Served piping hot and with generously sized portions.Dogs are made welcome, instead of being tolerated. Some nice touches, notably the individual miniature bottle of milk in the fridge. Elaine, Adrian and their staff have clearly given some thought to make for a truly enjoyable and memorable stay.
    • Amazing comfortable clean spacious room. Fabulous breakfasts-Lovely restaurant delicious food…dinner was very much to our liking. Also, for electric cars-22kw charging available
    • Lovely staff.. very clean and comfortable . Very quiet.

    Cons -

    • The only real downside is that the location is on an unlit country road, which I did expect given the hotel being situated outside the town of Amlwch. However, torches are available if one wishes to take the dog for his/her final walk before bedtime.
    • The bedroom was a little small, so we had to squeeze around the end of the bed between the bed and the mantle piece of the small fireplace. It’s just about at hip level so you can bash into it.. But considering I run into things all the time, that’s definitely my fault
    • Nothing on the mark with all aspects of our stay

We stayed in one of the gatehouse rooms, a little away from the main hotel. It was absolutely charming, with a sitting room and private parking. Excellent bed and excellent shower, with good pillows (which make an amazing difference between an OK hotel stay and a great hotel stay). Dinner and breakfast at the hotel we’re both very very good, with excellent options for breakfast. The restaurant has beautiful views. Staff was incredibly attentive and very nice. Overall, the hotel was quiet, very clean and very comfortable. definitely would recommend to stay here.

The room was exceptional, staff were all so friendly and so helpful. We will definitely recommend to friends and family and hopefully we can stop there again. Such a homely place to stay and nothing is too much trouble. They catered for my gluten allergy with the utmost care. Lots of choice too and adapted the food for me. It made my stay a very relaxed one.

Staff were so friendly and nice, working hard to ensure our stay was exceptional. We loved our stay there. The food was quality too, breakfast was super and as we said they were so attentive.

Nothing on the mark with all aspects of our stay

Good position. Comfortable. Bedroom. Good food.

We had a dog with us and were placed in a dark room to eat and to have a drink. There are 2 lovely rooms with views which we were not allowed to use. There was no lounge available to us either.

We had a lovely suite just down from the main hotel. It was very quiet and comfortable. Restaurant was fantastic - would definitely recommend eating here if you are staying. Breakfast was great too.

The location was excellent as anywhere on the island is only 30 minutes away. The room was comfortable and quiet with excellent facilities. Everything was there for you without having to ask.The breakfasts were excellent, probably up there with the best, the food was cooked. Perfectly. We had dinner on both nights we were there and the food was superb at reasonable cost. All the staff were very friendly.I couldn’t fault this hotel, having stayed in many over the years. You wont go wrong with this choice. Excellent

    10MattPosted on: 4-15-2025

The room was spotless and very well set out and comfortable. The staff were all really helpful and friendly. I ate in the restaurant in the evening and at breakfast, the food was superb. Lovely area of the Island, would highly recommend.

The only negative thing was the Heating wasn't powerful enough and thats if I had to look for a negative was really cold through the night . But on the plus side the bedding was exceptional together with the staff , atmosphere, meal and location and Room 21 was ideal . Outstanding a cut above the rest and we have stayed in all of the local hotels. Keep up the good work guys .....your smashing it . Definitely returning . ?
