Pros +
- I loved that they are green and they helped with luggage
- Booking this room was kind of a shot in the dark; we were just looking for a place to stay as a waystation in the middle of a longer journey. What a winner! Clean and comfortable and within walking distance of a beautiful beach. Plus the Paddler's cafe was sweet.
- You definitely need a car because you are a little bit outside of town, but there is a cool restaurant/pub on site and everything was as described. We stayed in one of the rooms that had a private bathroom, but the rooms that had a private bathroom, but the shared bathrooms appeared to be clean and taken care of. Everybody staying there was nice and respectful of each other and the kitchen and the communal hangout space were nice options to have as well.
Cons -
- Nothing!
- Nothing. Was just great.
- The bed I slept in - room 8, the bed under the sloped roof was terrible, so uncomfortable- the springs were literally coming right through the mattress and I woke up in lots of pain - I wasn’t able to sleep well because of this. Despite this, it’s the only negative - the rest of the experience was excellent. Everyone else said their bed was ok, butI think it’s time to replace the bed under the slope lol!

Excellent value for money. Great communication. Really clean and comfortable.
Nothing. Was just great.
The accommodation was brilliant, we really liked having the freedom to move around the whole place and having the use of the self catering kitchen and lounges. We were all really impressed with the cleanliness of the place. We all loved the upcycled furniture, it really fit well with the aesthetic.

Great location for an outdoors holiday out of the town but in half an hour's walking distance, and only 15 minutes walk from the beach. Simple but comfortable.
Facilities good and the bar was cool too.
The mattresses were uncomfortable and the toilet next to our room was very loud.
Location was lovely. Ate breakfast at cafe/ bar close by.
Reception to ask how we actually got into building?had to ask residents who were already there.
Stayed at the start of a cycle tour, and it suited me fine. Accommodation was what you'd expect of an outdoor centre - plain and simple. The location was nice, and there was a bar which did really very good food. I took my own breakfast and ate it in the self-catering kitchen. Think nice youth hostel with canoes attached and that's about right.
This property caters for kayakers and mainly water sports. I'm a coast walker and had never heard of it before but will use again. It's very good as a private hostel. Loads of parking. Quiet spot above the town, easily accessible by road.
I was there in the winter, all fine, but I can see their self-catering kitchen facilities might get a bit stretched in the high season.
Ideal location with easy booking and helpful staff. Great breakfast at Paddlers Rest.
nothing I can think of
Nice place. About a mile from the port and train station. Walkable. Facilities were nice. Bar on site too.
The location was beautiful in a quiet location but only 10 minutes walk to a lovely beach. We enjoyed being able to sit outdoors on the shared balconies. The room was very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good being able to prepare simple meals. The on site Bistro served good food at a reasonable price. Being an outdoor centre it was good to be able to book for different outdoor activities. I booked a three hour kayaking course which was a great experience along the coast exploring caves and tiny beaches. Enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and meeting /chatting to other guests who were all very friendly. Would definitely go again and recommend to others. Great place to take children with lots of freedom outdoors.
Comfy beds room was basic but clean
To much noise room was between lounge and kitchen. No towels provided
Comfy and clean and friendly
Wee bit tricky unlocking the outside door…we didn’t realise how heavy it was at first
Decent budget accommodation. Great location. It felt rural but only a short distance from the town. The shared kitchen was well set up. We only stayed one night but would be a good base for an activity holiday.
The beds were OK but not the most comfortable. Showers were a bit on the small side.
We loved the location
The floor was not very clean. We tried to be without shoes in the room, we didn't want to bring dirt from outside, but still.
Large indoor spaces. Check-in process is well organised if you don't mind not to speak to anybody! It is really close to the beach and to the town for supermarkets etc
The place is noisy, not because of the people, but because of the design. You can hear people stepping down the corridor, talking on the common room downstairs, etc. Also i barely saw any member of staff the whole time
The accommodation was clean, prepared and warm. The person at the reception gave us a warm welcome. The very bad weather forced us to spend the day in the dry. The large rooms and many sofas invited to relax.
The room was spacious, self catering facilities were available. Parking was also available on the premises. The room and facilities well clean and well maintained. Check-in and Check-out procedure were prompt, courteous and straight forward.
