The Kings Arms Hotel

The staff were amazing. Especially the young lady on reception in the evening who took the time to make sure our toddler settled in and enjoyed his stay.And thank you for our room upgrade so we had more room as a family of 3.

The atmosphere in the breakfast room. We ended up not having breakfast due to other guests grumbling about us having a child.

The location

Lack of attention to details. Some areas in the bedroom and bathroom could have been cleaner. A switch was missing from a bedside light. Guest book was out of date. Room could have been a little warmer. Ironing boards and other paraphernalia at the bottom 9f the staircase leading up to our room. Coffee at breakfast was lukewarm.

The staff were very accommodating, friendly. The room was very spacious with a bath and separate shower. The on site Italian restaurant had a menu full of choice and the breakfast was plentiful. Very good.

Some of the decor was a little worn and needed a little attention.

Courteous and very helpful staff. Large spacious bedroom. Large bathroom with both bath/shower and separate shower. Exceptionally clean. Restaurant food was good. Bar prices very reasonable

The staff were excellent always a smile and very Helpful, the Bedroom was comfortable. The agoining Italian restaurant was superb.

There was some alterations being done but it was off peak season. Apart frm that nothing .

Location was perfect and the bed was very comfortable.

We stayed in winter and the bathroom could have been warmer.

Lovely big room tv could do with being a bit bigger but everything worked as it should. Fantastic breakfast staff were lovely couldn't fault the hotel at all.

The room dusty just needed a good clean.heating was a bit on and off was a bit cold in room .and bath plug didn't work so couldn't soak in bath as water drained away

The staff were outstanding. Helpful, pleasant and made the stay!

Needed some upgrades. Rooms and bathrooms a little tired.

comfortable clean room. Bed was comfortable and pretty big with pillows in abundance, two chairs in the room reasonably comfortable. Good breakfast with plenty of choice, coffee luke warm Bathroom looks attractive with huge bath (unused) BUT

TV reception non existent for the channels my wife wanted to view.Bathroom spoilt by the foisty smell possibly caused by missing/cracked tiles and mouldy grout.

Room was good for a single traveller, large bed, good bedding etc.Staff were very friendly and helpful, price included breakfast, with a good choice available. The hotel wasn't busy though.

Nothing to do with the hotel, outside pretty noisy with pubs closing etc., but , that's my fault, like to sleep with the window open.

Very welcoming staff, great restaurant and good rooms

Our room was fabulous, comfortable and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly snd helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The full English breakfast was excellent!

Rooms very basic, breakfast not catered for people with food intolerance had to go to the shop and buy my own

Location, great breakfast and really nice waitress.

Water never went above lukewarm and radiator in room the same . Room clean but very plain with cheap furniture. Tv remote didn’t work but bed very comfortable

Steps at the front a little steep

Ideal hotel to explore Berwick:It’s about a 20 minute walk from the train station. It’s an easy route.The location of the hotel is perfect. It’s close to all the attractions and ideally located for decent restaurants and some great bars.Despite other reviews, we found that the hotel and the room was spotlessly clean.The breakfast was beautiful.The staff are great, helpful & friendly.

The ‘cocktail’ bar could do with a better range of drinks but it’s good enough for a quick drink.

Hotel room was filthy and i was bitten badly during my sleep (suspect Bed Bugs) Toilet was brokenBed sheets and towels were marked and stainedCurtains gave off dust cloud when shut Breakfast was poor - no hot water we were informed the wrong time for start
