- Loved the Bidet and Sound-proof windowsDinner and Breakfast very good
- The village is tiny, but we were able to walk over to Coldstream in Scotland for a visit to a pub. It was a bank holiday weekend, so many shops, museums, etc. were closed. Nevertheless, the Collingwood Arms is a lovely place to relax and enjoy excellent service and fine cuisine.
- Very comfortable, good food, friendly and welcoming
Cons -
- Staff were lovely - food was amazing
- What is there to dislike !
- The bar menu could benefit from changing daily to incorporate more fresh produce. There was no chicken on the menu during our 3 night stay.

Amazing breakfast, dinner and hospitality. Our annual trip here never disappoints
Good location. Large rooms with comfortable beds. Friendly/helpful staff.

Breakfast ok. Didn’t like sitting in a cold Bistro for evening meal ? but food was excellent
It was bloooooody freezing he said heating would be fixed next week. No shower as no heat in bathroom. Bedroom freezing and frost outside.
Great location Friendly staffExcellent dinner and breakfast
Grounds are lovely. Comfortable room and very good food
Location was ideal stopping point for us. Room was comfy and food was good in fact I would say that portions were a bit big especially starters. Friendly staff.. Right next to a fantastic little village shop with excellent deli counter.
Rooms could have been cleaner and the tv in the room had very poor reception.
Location for tweed fishing was great and the food / restaurant was excellent
Nothing really to complain about but the rooms a little tired - bit of paint and some carpet cleaning would make it great.
Great locationLovely staff
Some systems were quite noisy eg water and constant noise from kitchen equipmentCurtains did not meet in the middle!
Warm welcome from Andre, lovely bedroom and good meals
The duvet wasn’t the thickest
Everything, initial appearance from the outside, Decor, throughout tge hotel. Co.fortable, stylish rooms. Excellent restaurant.
We enjoyed the breakfast at the Collingwood Arms, plenty of choices on offer, couldn’t fault it. The location suited us perfectly, peaceful location, a great stopover en route to Alnwick. Would stay here again, and would recommend to family and friends
No recommendations, the relaxed unstuffy feel suited us fine.
The food was very good and staff were friendly. Very comfortable chairs in the dining room. Staff very long suffering about us rearranging table so conversation could flow better. Very comfortable beds.
No electric car charger
We had a lovely overnight with our toddler. The hotel ambiance/furnishings were lovely, food was very tasty (all three courses) and the staff couldn’t have been more pleasant and friendly.
Nothing to note
Andre met us on arrival and he was the most helpful, friendly member of staff we could have wished for. Nothing was any trouble to him. He was always available when we ever needed anything at all. We were pleasantly surprised at the beautiful gardens and seating at the back of the hotel.
