Pros +
- We loved the location and the room size. Staff were very nice. We enjoyed the swimming pool and sauna. The breakfast was very good and great choice, coffee was very good.
- We loved the location which was close to many attractions in the Scottish highlands. The staff was friendly and our room and overall resort was clean and tidy. The pool and saunas were a nice amenity to have.
- Tasty and a great selection. Fantastic service from the staff, very attentive.
Cons -
- The bed frame was very worn, the material was peeling off the frame, could do with a valance over the frame to hide the defects. The bathroom heater was put on the wall lopsided so looked very tacky. A chip on the bath frame also needs attention.
- The WiFi was a little spotty. The dinner ant the fine dining restaurant was tasty but a bit pricey.
- Honestly almost nothing, apart from it's remote and a windy road, but that's part of the charm.

We loved this hotel! Staff were friendly and helpful, the location is gorgeous, amenities are wonderful, rooms are comfortable, breakfast is delicious. We loved swimming and using the sauna in the spa after a big day of touring the area. We all agree that we would love to come back!
The bathrooms were a little cramped, but they were clean and functional.
The design of the hotel is amazing, room was spacious and clean, the bed was super comfortable
There were a few flies in the dining room on the morning that were walking and flying around us and were touching the food
Spacious rooms with sea viewAvailable free parking Good Breakfast with sea view Quite area
Limited activities in the areaLimited services in the hotel Need to book for dinner and breakfast The road to the hotel is too narrow in some locations
Easy check-in, staff friendly, lovely food
This is a spectacular location, however, it is way off the beaten path. We misestimated the time it would take to get there from Pitlochry. Its about 45 minutes of hard driving on a narrow road. Beautiful drive but we only stayed one night and it was a long way out of the way for us, which is our fault for not planning better. The hotel is kind of old and the room had that chemical smell of disinfectant. Room was decent size but furnishings were kind of tired. Staff in the pub restaurant were excellent and food was good. View was amazing on the edge of the Loch and if you are a hiker or outdoor person this is a great location for you. For the right guest this would be a great spot. For us, it was too far out of the way as we transited from Inverness to the south of the country.
Excellent, helpful and friendly staff.Good food.Comfortable room, gorgeous view.
Nice enough hotel, location on loch lovely, bar staff and breakfast staff lovely HOWEVER I was charged for dirty linen of £50 upon leaving and trying to get even more money out me still. Very old fashioned in nature and a sexist hotel and trust me as someone who is very easy going I’d never return to this hotel due to their snobby, outdated ways I’m disgusted in them!
They weren’t upfront about charges, breakfast not good and customer service appalling
Room was comfortable, coffee, tea, biscuits, still and carbonated water were complimentary. Some staff were amazing, went the extra mile to be welcoming; the blonde lady morning reception staff, the very tall waiting staff at breakfast was very helpful even during busy times, also Madga was very friendly and helpful, the waiter on Monday evening and the waitress on Tuesday evening certainly made a solo traveller feel welcome. Ally at the Spa, and the treatment I had was fabulous. The food was delicious.
Some waiting staff were unwelcoming, I understand people are busy, but a smile and eye contact goes along way. Some of your staff are an absolute asset to your hotel, and other staff may learn from their great example. On occasion the music in the lounge area was a bit loud and not conducive to relaxing, especially one particular morning. However, most of the time the music was non offensive and relaxing, making it a pleasure to sit in the lovely area and watch the world go by.
pool, views, food
the snooker and pool tables were out of action. This was not highlighted before arrival.
The location was stunning and we were extremely fortunate with the glorious weather.
The food in the bar was absolutely sub-standard. Frozen veggies and a pie from the nearest Lidl. The quality and comfort of the bed was in my opinion sub-standard as well. Quite disappointed for the money I spent.
Friendly staff, delicious food and excellent spa facilities.
Although room decor and little extra touches were nice, the mattress definitely needed replaced.
Great location, best hotel room we have ever had. Will definitely be back.
Food was a little disappointing in the wild brownie restaurant. Not terrible but could definitely be better.
Very nice location, lovely staff. Nice room with a great view. The interior of the building is very nice too
The bed wasn’t the comfiest, a bit too soft and the double bed was 2 mattresses pushed together
Hotel was stunning!Staff were amazing and friendly
Unfortunately the breakfast was very poor and let the hotel down
Beautiful location. Pub waitstaff was great.
Many of the claimed activities and facilities were closed or unavailable (game room, fishing, water sports). Only have 3 e-bikes and they were not charged and ready, bikes not well maintained (derailleur slips, seat post would not stay up). None of this was disclosed on the site in advance. No espresso drinks available at breakfast. Menus were uninspired.
Location as great room was lovely
The food was not very good one night the food was actually inedible due to grease
Staff are very warm and friendly and extremely helpful. Lovely facilities, massage was amazing, very calming. Lovely part of Scotland to go and explore. Food was delicious.
There was nothing I didn't like.
