Cost and set out lovely location facilities great apart from tennis court needs safety flooring

Cobwebbs and we shouldn’t ave to strip beds etc that is down to housekeeping

The location

It’s so old bathroom has bad smell water don’t flow from the shower.. there was spiders in my room it need so much renovation the bathroom sooooooo bad the kitchen has lack of appliances

Good and clean property , convenient location . Everything was working in the property. Staff was supportive and instructions were very clear

More Garbage disposal places would help

The location was absolutely fantastic. Perfect place to cover cairngorm. Peace and silent. Its a decent place for families and friends.

Expected more. It mentioned it has all kitchenware were available, but not. A rusty pan was there. Should Need more pans and servicing spoons to be made available. Not all the heaters are functional to fullest. Hot water stopped the night before we checked out. Only 1 toilet for 1 chalet which can take upto 6 adults. Smart TV was not smart enough to work.

Love the area the staff are lovely

Just the general maintenance of the cabins and could do with a fresh coat of paint but that's not a massive problem and doesn't affect the overall view of it

We booked a last minute weekend away and had a lovely 2 bed lodge on the lake. Clean, well equipped, warm and comfortable. My children loved the ducks visiting daily. Although a wee bit further away from Aviemore than we thought, it didn’t dampen our stay. Lodge was really nice.

The hoovers do smell bad when using them, no doubt just down to the amount they are used but probably needing filters cleaned. The bathroom light was high up which my oldest couldn’t reach when needing the loo during the night, not a huge issue mind you.

Area that’s it

Cabin old, needing upgraded. Some areas dirty, damp smell one of the bedrooms. Not enough plates for four people. Steps not even brushed for people.

Good location in fantastic setting

Shower was no more than a dribble our entire stay. Staff were informed but nothing was done about it. Generally the resort is tired and dated and could do with some investment

Beautiful surroundings, loved the swimming pool, tennis court, games room

Location

The cabin/chalet was very dated and in need of a good clean as well as updating, it was very damp/unpleasant smelling.

We loved location. Nice and quiet and lovely to be able to walk around Loch and woods.

We found some old socks down side of one bed and chairs hadn't been hoovered under cushions. The pool boiler broke so children couldn't swim in morning and restaurant on site wasn't open which was not clear when booking although think it maybe opening soon. Children were a bit miffed at rubbish WiFi. Chalets could do with a spruce up outside but we still had fun and enjoyed location.

Clean, nice little lodges. Pool was ok.

Check in at 5 is really late. Bar and restaurant were closed most of our stay.

Very family friendly. Both dogs and children loved it. Lot's of amenities and great peaceful atmosphere ? will be happy to go back ?

Good location and convenient for nearby attractions.

Accommodation fell far below our expectations. There was an awful smell of wet dog which clearly is exacerbated by the hoover used by cleaning and maintenance staff. Receptionist wasn’t particularly welcoming. The whole resort could do with a revamp as it’s looking very tired. Debatable as to whether there is any ongoing investment in the resort. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend to others.

Lovely lodge, quiet area, close to Aviemore and Landmark, nice swimming pool and steam room, friendly staff

The cabins are located in a beautiful area, although the smell in the cabin was not good a very mouldy smell, beds uncomfortable and couldn’t get the sofa bed up or back down when the staff eventually got it open for us. Very friendly staff but cabins could do with a carpet clean to take the smell away, the hoover actually smells very bad when hoovering. However we did enjoy ourselves.

Property was ok but clearly needs investment and cleaned prior to our arrival.

Needs a good clean

Location was great - near to many attractions but still felt like you are away from all the busyness and noise.. The cosy cabin in the forest with the dining room table in an enclosed porch so that you can utilize it in all.weather was very nice. Also the fact that you could visit the other Macdonald resort/hotel/ etc was great. Overall great value for money!

The bedroom with double bed was really very small for 2 adults. It would also have been nice if the bedroom with 1 bed and mattress could have twin beds if 2 adults stay there. The matress will work fine for kids but not so comfy for an adult. But the rest of the facilities and layout of cabin was fine! Loved rhe kitchen layout and dining room table in enclosed porch. It was very nice to be in a self catering unit and very good value for money!
