Commercial Hotel (Insch)

The proprietor could not have been friendlier. The location was good, an 8 minute walk from the train station, and close to several restaurants.

My room did not have a private bathroom as was listed in the Booking.com description. Also, the noise from the bar could be heard in the rooms.

Rooms were comfortable. Host was helpful and thoughtful.

The exterior and ground floor doesn’t really do the property justice. Bedrooms are fine though, we upgraded one room and stayed on the top floor rooms 5 and 6 both en-suite.

Large room, very quiet for being above a bar.

No coffee facilities in the room. Tiny bathroom

Great wee hotel. Breakfast setup was different from what we were expecting but it was good to have a social space when multiple staff are travelling for work. Large rooms and shops and multiple takeaways within 1-2 minutes walk. Indian restaurant downstairs.Staff brilliant, really informative about the area.

Bathroom was tiny and getting out was a chore as the bed and bathroom door were so close to each other. We were only staying 1 night and it didn't impact our stay.

Great friendly welcome from the young guy .the room was vr clean and bed was super comfortable.

Only issue was the noise from the bar

Staff were amazing, helped us with our bags, allowed us a later check out. So friendly and helpful. Great location.

Plenty parking Lovely bar staff lady checked us in after 11pm.Nice welcome & comfy bed Good sized TV on wall(which we didn't use)Not much noise from the bar as we were two flights upSelf-service breakfast had good quality items & choice.

No mirror near hairdryer.Tiny en-suite with doors opening onto end of bed, light was on a timer so switched off while I was having a shower.Our room had a view of roofs No staff in the morning,one towel between two people but couldn't rectify as no staff available. Same on check-out, left keys & note in the kitchen.

Bed was super comfortable

Decor old and dated on the entrance and hallways. Breakfast and kitchen lacking

Room was very cold and radiator lukewarm.Very noisy bar late at night when trying to get to sleep

Great location in the centre of the village. The staff were so friendly & welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be staying again.

the bed the only answer was omg was the most comfortable bed ive ever slept in i loved the way we had our own space with sofa large screen tv fridge microwave kitchen at our disposal the breakfast was serve your own there was fruit cheese meat juice porridge cereal's crumpets and bread for toast a selection of jams it was more than i expected after paying more for bed only in a hotel the night before that was no where near the same standard the staff went out there way even carrying my luggage the restaurant and bar down stairs where handy the village was very quaint but close enough to drive to other sites and cities

the fact the toilet was not in my room im disabled using two sticks walking along the corridor and 6 steps to the bathroom was hard but if i chose the ene suite ones it was another two flights of stairs to my room then down for breakfast there was no issue with it just my disability but they tried there best to help one staff member went to my car for me to get a bag i forgot to save me going down stairs

Martin was very friendly on arrival and pointed out all local amenities as well as being a great barman

Very limited places to eat. Only Indian open which, although was really nice, might not suit everyone

Bathroom very small and ceiling very low, not for a person with claustrophobia

My daughter lives in insch and it is ideal when visiting.room was spotless and staff friendly...we did not check in till very late and it was no problem...will stay again... really good value

Odd tiny ensuite. Bathroom door like a cabinet door as so little space between the bed and the door. Light is automatic so have to keep opening the shower door if having a shower to keep the light and fan going. Kitchenette to help yourself for breakfast was very limited and only as clean as your fellow guests leave it.

Clean & cosy bed; good bathroom facilities; easy parking and town access; kitchenette was well equipped; excellent bar and staff; Indian restaurant food was outstanding.
