    Pros +

    • I cannot say enough about the staff/food/hotel. All were amazing.
    • Amazing place with quirky and wonderful design throughout. Staff were terrifically friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is straight from a design magazine and the grounds and surrounding property are exceptional (weather permitting) to sit and enjoy a tea or walk down toward the water. Dinner was terrific and creative.
    • The rooms , location the style of the hotel and bar .

    Cons -

    • The dinner wasn’t good at all . Nobody really there to help bags etc .
    • Nothing - just know it’s communal eating so you have dinner with whoever else is there. We enjoyed that a lot but it’s not for everyone and we didn’t know until we arrived!
    • Felt slightly chaotic!! The ethos of feeling like your in a friends country house and not a hotel is wonderful in theory, but always having to go and find someone is a bit odd!!

Beautiful outdoors as well as interiors. Room was comfortable and the extra supplies pantry was a surprise!

    Loved everything

the location is magnificent. the hotel is decorated beautifully with so much attention to details and even some sense of humor. the staff (especially Amy) were super helpful, going out of their way to help with anything you need. the place feels like being part of a Tim Barton movie. we loved every minute. dinners are super expensive but they are fun. you get to drink and dine with the other guests hear their stories and bond for the night.

dinner are overpriced for what you get. 100GBP per person, wine alcohol or the early cocktails not included, and dinner consists of three very small tasting menu and very small dessert. all guests were hungry at the end and way poorer. still I wouldn’t miss this dinner because the whole experience is fun. I would just recommend the hotel to either add more courses to the meal or increase portion size. it was the only part where I felt price was a bit unfair.

Remote country house set in beautiful gardens next to the sea. The interior decoration is absolutely stunning, with every room in a different colour scheme and with carefully selected furniture. Loved it! We were offered a complementary visit of the Glenmorangie distillery, which was a nice surprise. The joined dinner was nice and an interesting concept to meet people. The whole atmosphere gives you the feel you are invited to visit someone's country home, rather than staying in a hotel.

The room was amazing with great views. The whole hotel is an experience and the decor is fantastic! The evening meal and breakfast were delicious, all served by lovely, friendly staff. It was a home from home experience and we will definitely be back!

There really aren’t enough words to express how outstanding this property is. Photos do not do the location or house justice. Additionally, the food, whisky, and service are outstanding. We were lucky to get a reservation in the first place, and luckier still to be able to be rebooked when our travel was derailed. If you are thinking about it, give yourself the pleasure of staying here.

Thought the house was stunning beautiful decor

Felt a little too uncomfortable you were escorted to lounges and breakfast it didn’t feel natural and was not enjoyable. The soft furnishings were beautiful and lamps and objects everywhere felt a little frightening as difficult to put things out of place when using the room. Light sockets behind cabinets for example no where to put tea and coffee mugs as leather bound table just made you feel a little awkward in case of damage. No TV in the room and when it gets dark at 3 it’s a long evening. There were beautiful lounges but felt not at ease as you were accompanied into them and served - I felt there at least should have been a TV lounge one could have used. Dinner menu was set and cooked beautifully but no choice from set menu.

Beautiful interiors and all very well designedStaff are very friendly and welcomingThe group dining concept worked wellDelicious breakfast too

Vegetarian options at dinner were a little uninspired

Beautiful. stunning house, lovely concept of all guests dining together! Breakfast was excellent! Second night was much better than first night! Would love to go back when there are a full complement of guests!

Not really a hotel, lacking in facilities, room very small and awkward & uncomfortable as a result! Very limited tea and coffee in room and no milk! Worst thing about the experience was on first night we were the only guests, which was very disappointing, as we would never choose to spend a lot of money on a 'hotel' that advertises itself as a dinner party experience! We were not offered a discount either and we were charged for drinks we did not have!

The property itself is gorgeous, each room is perfectly decorated with luxurious details. The quality of the dinner was suberb.

Some minor details:the tap in the bathroom was extremely noisy when turned on.There is no a real reception area, and our check in has been done with another couple in a weird way.No keys for the room, “it is safe” (they say) until something happens.

Beautifully done guest house, very stylish, great smell. Service was great, dinner and breakfast outstanding!

Our room curtains did not close 100% so we had some light coming in and woke us up very early. The town is missing some action, it is very quiet.

5th time here. Including my wedding in 2022. Just adore this place. Staff are amazing and just a lovely property.

High quality experience, highest standards, beautiful decor wonderful ambience. The Glenmorangie House experience and stay is nothing short of exceptional in every aspect. We were absolutely enthralled by our visit and would highly recommend this venue. The tasting dinner in a carefully created setting was beyond stunning we enjoyed whisky tasting coastal walks and a fabulous Scottish breaks too. Finlay and the staff were superb. There can be no higher accolades in Scotland than those deserved by Glenmorangie House.

    Absolutely nothing!

I can describe the place with one word MAGIC. Unbelievable place, nature, house, room, SERVICE- exceptional. Thanks a lot for Andrea, Victoria, Stuart, Amie, you are amazing. I felt myself as at home. All environment, service was so warm, attentive, we have been surprised and very much thankful for all of you. Now my dream is to have such home as Glenmorangie House. I would advise while making the reservation, take diner as well. It is exceptional. As in best restaurants in the world. Pre-dinner, after dinner time was spectacular. We seat close to fire, have been served with whisky Glenmorangie, enjoy tea, enjoy 5 * dinner with cozy environment. The room was fantastic. We asked the team to show us other rooms as well, each of them is exceptional. Wherever you stay, be sure, your room is exceptional and unique. Will come again and again to enjoy House charm and hospitality. Thanks a lot for hospitality for all the team once more !

    All was superb

Fantastic premises, food very good too. Refurbished recently and utterly beautiful rooms.

No 'bar' prices apart from wine list. Consequently we were shocked at prices of drinks on bill. Didn't spoil our stay but made us think twice about return...pity. I'd also ask for clarification of booking details as there was a minor dispute over DBB status on documentation sent from Booking.com. In fairness this may not have been hotel's fault, but it left a slightly bitter after taste.
