Pros +
- The comfort, the excellent facilities, the situation and the quality of the staff.
- Stayed in the spa part as opposed to the hotel part. Saw a friend's room who stayed in the hotel. My room at the spa was much bigger w/sofa and chairs & full tub which was missing in the hotel room. Breakfast & staff was very nice & helpful.
- Really nice breakfast, staff were friendly and welcoming. Service during breakfast was almost non existent though, the hostess was great but wait staff were not useful at all. Electric car charging in the parking was very convenient.
Cons -
- The room was too hot and there was no method of controlling the temperature, which led to a couple of uncomfortable nights.
- no air conditioning
- Our room wasn't particularly special. We were on the ground floor overlooking the bins and service entrance. It was nice but also quite expensive for what is quite a large and mediocre hotel. There were a lot of children around, so I think this place is more suitable for a family than a romantic getaway which is what we were looking for.

Stunning location and views. Family friendly. Breakfast buffet was amazing. Spacious rooms. Some staff more helpful and friendly than others, but all kind.
We weren’t made aware of the ferry shuttle ahead of time which would have been nice but we did happen to find it and appreciated the service greatly.
Staff are excellent. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Food was fantastic. Actives were good. Instructors were great. Overall a really lovely atmosphere
I paid £40 for 2 goggles and swim toys in the shop which was ridiculous.
Due to weather ferries were cancelled over so unfortunately we missed out on a day/night @ the Auchrannie (and $) though we totally understand that's not the hotels fault. Once there we really enjoyed the hotels location, (best on the island in our opinion as you can walk to so many things). Rooms were spacious, clean comfy. Dining ambiance was great (and allowed dogs in the bar area though we didn't have ours with us to take advantage). Food/Service wasn't the best we had all trip but amenities/lux'ness made up for it! Recommend walking to Arran Botanical Drinks to play cards, and in the mornings having coffee and breakfast at Wooleys before you start your adventures.
SPA, restaurant, staff and accomodation were all excellent
Clean, lovely location
No shop for snacks on site and no air con not ideal
staff were helpful and well trained. Location and facilities were good
I booked 2 rooms through booking.com at what appeared to be the same place, Auchrannie resort. I like dogs however, asthma, doesn’t. My reaction to animals has resulted in hospital visits in the past. Upon arrival when we saw the numbers of dogs at the hotel and various signs that indicated that the resort positively promoted bringing pets which again is fine had we known, however, we didn't. Looking at the hotels website and on booking.com, before making a reservation and after our arrival, the extent of the resort’s promotion of pet friendliness was not clear. In fairness the staff couldn’t have been more helpful or apologetic however being a holiday weekend, occupancy was high and the very few “pet free” rooms that they did have, were taken thus we decided to soldier on. The room was comfortable and relatively clean however we noticed a few stains on the carpet which looked pet related. As we booked our evening meal, we were asked if wanted our meal in a pet free area which surprised us as we are not used to pets in restaurants. For people with allergies or phobias, a different part of a restaurant isn’t necessarily a solution. The irony was not lost on us when the waitress asked us, before the meal, if we had any allergies that they should be aware of. Again, we soldiered on. The food was good, and the staff made it enjoyable.
Clean tidy good facilities and comfortable
Breakfast full price even if you just wanted tea and toast. Inflexible
Excellent Brambles restaurant
The pool was a little cool and the whirlpools similarly cool
Excellent help and service from all staff. I needed cold storage for a cake made for a birthday party. Although the party was elsewhere the staff were delightful and happily arranged its very safe storage for a day and a half. Our meals were just right and my Negroni was perfect! We will definitely return on our next visit to the island.
Very clean and nicely styled. Brilliant and very courteous service. Beautiful surroundings. Quiet. Lovely food and drink with a good selection to choose from. Spa very clean and comfortable.
Loud music at the spa not necessary

The resort is beautifully located, just a short distance from the Brodick ferry terminal, making it extremely convenient for travelers. Set within a large estate, the property offers a peaceful and scenic environment with excellent on-site facilities. The spa is relaxing and well-maintained, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. We especially enjoyed the Cruize restaurant – it’s comfortable, and the views from there are absolutely lovely. Overall, a very enjoyable and comfortable stay.
The property was immaculate, beds were really comfy, , rooms were really clean . Staff were v ry efficient and friendly, nothing was a bother.
Auchrannie is a well known name if you’ve been to Arran and overall it exceeded our expectations. Without exception all the staff were friendly and helpful and the decor was to a lovely finish throughout.
Nothing!
Beautiful location and large pool
The staff could have been more helpful with booking taxi's
The couples retreat is perfectly designed and well stocked for all needs inc Nespresso coffee. Hot tub is perfect and you can get butler to get it ready for you for certain time. Views are perfect and fire at night keeps your warm inside outside. Two restaurants to choose dinner or breakfast from - try Guiness braised beef in Cruize !
It is perfect!
