Pros +
- Location and view - receptionist was very friendly and helpful
- Excellent location with great view over harbour and close proximity to Padstow's wonderful restaurants. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Parking was easy and well priced, right opposite the hotel.
- Very warm welcome from Ellie and the team! The Barn is a lovely large space for a family of five, been visiting Padstow for almost 20 years and it’s the best location we have stayed at, will be back later in the year!
Cons -
- I understand that whole hotel is going to be completely renovated in the next year, so minor niggles about radiators being a little bit noisy will probably date fairly soon.
- If we were being extra critical, having stayed here previously, we were dispointed this time in the room we had, right at the top of the building in the roof, as last time the room was larger with a decent bathroom. The electric shower was really poor and very difficukt to get to a desired temperature, either too hot or too cold, and the shower holder on the riser rail would not stay at the right height. The ceiling in the room had several damp stains and patches. We had food in the bar and again were disapointed, as the quality for the rpice, was not what we would expect. Breakfast was ok, but again not the greatest. As I mention though, we have stayed here before and had a completely different experience, so it may just have been an off weekend. It will not stop us staying again
- The bedrooms and en-suite are looking a bit tired, but this is purely cosmetic. It wouldn’t stop us from returning.

The location right on the harbour is superb, with a view of the harbour from the room, the pub is good and a decent size, breakfast was ok

The friendly staff, great location, good breakfast, comfortable room.

Location - great - right on the harbour, so only a very short walk from anywhere you would want to go. Public car park directly opposite (very busy, but we always found a space), £10 for 24 hours.Room - reasonable size and nice little touches like bottled water, nice biscuits to accompany the tea & coffee, comfy bed, lovely toiletries. We were in room 2, with a view straight over the harbour.Very good value for money, with a lovely breakfast included.Staff - fantastic. Professional, friendly, 'went the extra mile' - it would be unfair to name any individuals as they were all great! We would certainly recommend!
Nothing - all good!
The property was in a perfect location and the room size, view and cleanliness were excellent
Lovely big room , lovely staff , breakfast was really nice with good options and parking very convenient across the road .
Needs a bit of an update but apparently been done later in the year
Staff were great, Building was full of character.Great location close to everything, parking ( payable ) right across the road
Bedroom 3 was a little tired looking with paper peeling & damp showing in a few areas, windows were constantly steamed up, Breakfast was very dry ( bacon, hogs pudding, & toast were almost burnt )
Bed was comfortable . Dining areas and bar attractive . Staff helpful efficient pleasant . Went above and beyond to find me when I left my phone behind . Good location
Bathroom needs updating , lighting poor . The place is like a warren and I wouldn’t feel safe if there was a fire . Our room was above bar, a bit noisy .
Location perfect, room really comfortable, staff amazing
Great location overlooking harbour and a nice gastro bar.
Breakfast taste was not great
Great location. Lovely breakfast. Wonderful friendly staff. Good value.......what more do you want?
Beautiful view over the harbour. Very good breakfast with friendly staff.
A little bit tired in places.
Hotel could not be nearer all facilities right by the harbour and the town brilliant
Could do with updating but clean and tidy and updating is being carried out this year.
Nice and clean. Rooms had everything we needed. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Liked it all
Location was excellentBed was lovely
Bar drinks were so expensiveShower in the room (22) was poor
Location, cleanliness, great sleep, beautiful breakfast. Amy was really helpful and a great hostess
Little touch ups in the room and en suite would elevate it.
Free Breakfast was absolutely delicious and it is in SUCH a convenient place.
If I were being really picky the window did not really open or close correctly in our room and the wood on the windows was beginning to rot.
Great location, lovely view from room. Staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast.
Parking limited in car park nearby, would be difficult in high season. Water damage mark on ceiling and wall in room which was a shame. Although I understand they are closing later this year for a full refurbishment.
