Pros +
- Great location in quaint village close to Dartmoor sites.Good breakfast.Restaurant very good.
- Room is big and the beds were very comfortable . The staff were nice and helpful.
- Location was great, pub was welcoming, we had one of the best dinners of our 10-day trip here (steak pie)! Cute town, very interesting church & cemetery across the street.
Cons -
- Nothing particularly
- The stairway was so narrow that it is difficult to carry your luggage .
- We had the attic room and couldn’t stand up in the shower over the bath. The sink was plugged tight with water in it on arrival and we couldn’t remove it and there was no shampoo / conditioner available. Quite pricey in our opinion.

Lovely spacious room with views of the beautiful churchyard and hills beyond. Excellent location for exploring the shops of Chagford and local walks.A relaxing experience. Warm and friendly atmosphere. Delicious food.
The wonderful welcome from Graham and Mary. The location was perfect, situated in the village close to all amenities. Nothing was too much trouble. The food and service were outstanding.
Great location and we were able to park right outside. Team were very friendly. The bedroom was very big with books, teas and coffees etc provided. Breakfast was nice.

It is an old coach house, architecturally interesting, with quirky stairs and halls that wind around. The location is right across from St Michael the Archaengel church with a view from the restaurant (where a real chef prepares gourmet English food with local produce)
Great staff, good food, variety of local ales/gins...couldn't have picked a better place!
Excellent breakfast
Evening menu choices a bit limited but the food is good
We had a very warm greeting on arrival from Nick and shown to a warm comfortable room on the top floor. It overlooked the Church opposite and the hills of Dartmoor beyond. Mary and Graham are first class Landlords creating a friendly atmosphere and very relaxed. We enjoyed the evening meals on both nights in the comfortable bar . Very good breakfast and a central location to visit many great areas on Dartmoor. We will definitely return this Summer.
Nothing to fault. A very well run, homely ,comfortable good English Pub/Hotel
Have stayed at the Globe several times now and also for the last 2 New Years. Staff so welcoming and the food exceptional! Would Definitely recommend The Globe to anyone
There isn't anything I did not like
Our room was spacious, comfortable and warm. Breakfast was excellent as was our meal in the restaurant. Amazingly decorated for Christmas. Staff were all lovely.
Everything was very good.
V friendly staff, good food, ambience. Breakfast great!
Beautiful location in the village. Really friendly and professional staff. Great room which was very comfy and had a lovely view from the window. Food was wonderful - evening meal and brekky!
There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like. We’d love to stay here again.

Leaving
Central location - right in the middle of the village - pleasant, spacious room with a fine view of the church directly opposite. Cheerful, helpul staff and good food.
A table and chair so you could do some work, write postcards, use computer etc. Large sofa and coffee table were great but not ideal if you want to write or work. Just a minor quibble.
Very charming hotel in Chagford, a wonderfull village right in the heart of Darthmoor. The Globe Inn is located in a historic building with a beautiful interior. Food and ambience are superb, as are the hosts, Mary and Graham. All in all, very much recommended.
The pub is how all country pubs should be: warm, welcoming, with lovely food and drink. The rooms (we stayed twice for one night each time) were comfortable, quiet and equipped with everything we needed.
Nothing- it was all great
Quirky room, friendly staff, excellent Sunday roast. A great location for exploring mid Devon.
From the time we arrived to the time we left it felt like home. Mary and Graham are great hosts and can’t do enough for you. Nick and kristof behind the bar are the nicest people. We couldn’t get a taxi one evening and Kristof brought us himself in his car. So nice. The food here is indescribable. It just amazing. I would highly recommend this property to anyone.
Nothing all great
