    Pros +

    • The view from the front door out over the village, church, and graveyard. Absolutely stunning.
    • We stayed for three nights. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food, evening meal and breakfast were very nice. A good choice on the menu and well cooked. Good view from our bedroom window and room was warm with a comfortable bed.
    • Hospitality from staff, food and shower

    Cons -

    • Check-in staff could have been warmer and more welcoming. Serving staff were lovely. Room could have done with an air cooler/purifier.
    • We found the room a bit small for a superior room and the four poster bed too big for the room and blocked the TV. The shower was intermittent and needs attention.
    • The hand held shower attachment was broken and the overhead rainshower had very poor water pressure. We made the staff aware and they apologised for the inconvenience but it's not what you expect for a room at that price.

A fantastic very friendly Hotel. The staff were exceptional and very helpful. The Breakfast menu was varied and exceptional and the evening menu was also fantastic. The Hotel provided a lovely range of toiletries and the view from our room was great.

The evening meal was very nice for both my partner and myself. I'm vegan and the chef offered to make me an off the menu dish which was very lovely. The room was very comfortable and the bed large and comfy.

The hand held shower attachment was broken and the overhead rainshower had very poor water pressure. We made the staff aware and they apologised for the inconvenience but it's not what you expect for a room at that price.

Cute little hotel with lovely quirky touches. Amazing staff who couldn’t do enough for us, Oleg particularly is a gem! Loved the snug and the fire, perfect in the rainy weather! And thank you for our upgrade!

    Nothing!

breakfast was excellent lots to choose from. We had dinner there too.The food (Dinner) was excellent as well. The staff were helpful and friendly.

I wish they had told us where to park before arrival. Because you had to go all the down the walkway to park in the correct spot. Allocated to your room.

The dog friendly room meant we had direct access to the garden and we could come and go from there. the room was well stocked with a variety of teas and coffee The room was lovely and warm and so was the bathroom which was perfect on what was a very cold couple of days. The options available for breakfast was extensive and the quality of the food was 1st class The staff are very attentive and it made for a very pleasant stay

The car park could do with a bit of lightning

    Nothing not to like!

The hotel itself, and the staff were lovely

The dinner was overpriced for what it was, bland

    10JoannaPosted on: 10-31-2025

Amazing food, stunning decor and lovely ambience

    9NeilPosted on: 10-30-2025

Comfortable room and very friendly staff. Breakfast was superb. Location was convenient and reserved parking was helpful s there are limited options nearby.

Be aware the hotel is located up a steep slope. No problem for us, but some may find it more difficult to access.

    Very Clean, style , location

    7LamblePosted on: 10-17-2025

    Very welcoming

Not so much didn’t like as just a couple of points. Not enough sockets, lighting dim (only wanted lighter when doing make-up, hair etc). Drawers very, very shallow, no hanging space. Would be ok for one night, but three?

    10RichardPosted on: 10-6-2025

The staff were friendly and welcoming, the room was well serviced and kept clean daily, the breakfast options were very good and well prepared

Everything was to a high standard no dislikes

    10DavidPosted on: 9-21-2025

Everything, the staff, the location and the comfort of the hotel, The personal nature that the staff dealt with you, all very helpful and willing to actually talk to you. The hotel is small and that adds to the good stay in my view, the draw back is that it has rooms, a small bar and restaurant, but that was fine by me, the food was superb too, including the excellent breakfast. All in an excellent place to stay, ideally suits the location in which its based.
