Pros +
- Easy and efficient check-in / check out process.Located conveniently on high street. Loved the ambiance and decor. The room was immaculate. The bed was wonderfully comfortable, and I enjoyed the tea and biscuits. I would highly recommend The Roost to anyone wanting to stay overnight in Cullompton.
- The layout was great! Modern and cosy and had everything that we needed in the space for a night including a welcome pack and more than enough biscuits and tea / coffee / milk! Super comfortable beds and the hand soap smelt amazing!
- It had a good location. It was very quiet. The room was decorated lively and there was plenty of tea and coffee provided with bottles of water as well
Cons -
- Room was a bit hot but had a fan and an openable door.
- The road outside can be a little noisy, it may bother some but as we were only staying one night it wasn’t an issue for us. Taxi services are also non existent we called all the local taxis to take us a mile up the road to a wedding reception and no one would take the job. I’d recommend booking in advance as they come from Exeter. Local taxi didn’t want the job and was pretty rude about it.
- Nothing, we had a great stay!

The Roost is conveniently located in the centre of Cullompton. We were visiting friends and could walk from the hotel. Although the rooms are above a restaurant, there was no noise after 1015pm - and we stayed on a Saturday night.
Idea for a short stay for me and my family. Although unmanned communication was very good and they accommodated us checking in early.
The room was tidy, The beds were comfortable, shower room was good, 30 mins from most beaches and a decent price.
Room was a bit hot but had a fan and an openable door.
Easy to find, parking at rear. Key access easy and straightforward, rooms clean and fresh. Linen was so soft and comfy.Loved that there was coffee/tea with a kettle and some biccies to enjoy upon our arrival.A hairdryer and clothes steamer also in the drawer was a fab idea. Communication was also top notch and very helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Room and decore were amazing ? thanks for complementary one hour and next when I will make plane there to stay i will chose the this hotel because it was near the bus station or also there was superb food shops near me.
We liked that we could let ourselves in easily with the lock box's. The bed was really comfy and we liked that tea coffee and hot chocolate was provided! My partner unfortunately left his necklace in the room and Jo was so communicative with us and kindly had it posted to our house. She was very responsive throughout the stay and beforehand as we queried about parking and arriving a bit early which she was kindly able to accommodate. I was really surprised by how handy the stay was and there are lots of cafes nearby for a good breakfast in the morning. We stayed here for a wedding but would stay again! Thanks for all your help The Roost!
Nothing, we had a great stay!
Gorgeous decor and very high finish to the room. Staffless check in worked well. The towels and bedding were of such high quality. I have never slept on a more comfy bed. I liked the plastic free approach too.
Took awhile for the shower to get hot, felt like I wasted water. The high street was noisy till late and the windows were a little drafty.
Amazing property with very high spec roomsGood location right on the high street with parkingEasy check in and check outThoroughly recommend
We had a fabulous visit, the hotel rooms are tastefully decorated , check in was very simple. There was a vast range of tea and coffee facilities
Great location, easy to park. The room was warm, clean with a ton of linen. Bed was very comfy, good size tv good shower. I can’t fault it. Thank you The Roost.
Easy access, clear instructions, ample parking, large room, comfy bed.
The location for pet travellers is great, there are many walks in and around the area.Great choice of food outlets in the area from pubs to high end Indian cuisine.A well fitted out set of rooms to a very high standard.
all very good
Great location, perfect for an overnight stop.Clean and nicely presented, the toiletries were lovely.! Reasonable price.
We stayed in room 6. The bathroom fan wasn't effective enough to clear the steam after a shower, making the walls and floors really wet. Bearing in mind I booked for 4 adults, we had 2 cups and 2 glasses, and one individual pack of cookies between 4 of us! The mattress on the double bed wasn't very comfortable as it seemed to sag in the middle, and the "closet," we presume, was a set of coat hangers on the rails of the bunk beds!Despite this, it served its purpose, but needs a bit of tweaking to get better reviews.
Tastefully decorated. Very clean and comfortable. Good clear communication with host. Lovely recommendations for breakfast. All in all a very pleasant stay.
Easy check in and out Excellent room Clean In town
