Pros +

  • Great location, has free parking, staff are very welcoming. Rooms are very clean and the bed is very comfortable. We stayed when there was an open mic night on which was brilliant, a real community feel.
  • The property was easy to access from the car park across the road. The pub does have parking but was hard to find and tight to access, so I parked in the car park across the road. I could literally see my car from my bedroom window. All day parking costs 13. You need to pop across the road at 9am to renew the parking ( it isnt online so you cant just do it from your phone!) Whilst it cost us an additional 26, it was worth it not to have any car parking stress! The room itself was basic, but warm and clean. Atmosphere in the pub on the night we stayed was amazing. They had an open mic night and it was really good fun. Big shout out to Dylan who was an absolute star. He helped us out when we had an issue with our lock. He was kind and helpful and really understood customer service. Our small issue was resolved and he handled it brilliantly. Great breakfast the next morning and again excellent customer service from the chap who greeted us and got our breakfast sorted.
  • Was greeted by very friendly staff (Dillon who introduced us to Jo and Daisy) at bar. Explained where room was etc. Although above bar it was quiet, clean and comfortable room. Parking at back. Great view of the Abbey and Tor. Very good breakfast by different friendly staff.

Cons -

  • Absolutely nothing
  • We had a great time. There is a bit of maintenance that needs doing. Bathroom door had no lock and so flapped open - wasnt an issue for us but might be for some.
