Cons -
- I think they overcharged me by doubling up on the VAT
- I wish there was a lounge to relax in with a fire! Central heating was difficult to control for us, the first room was too hot and the staff couldn't turn it down, so they moved us to a family room. Large but nice. Otherwise all good
- The shower cubicle could have been slightly bigger, but it was a very clean bathroom with a lovely, hot, shower with very good water pressure.

Friendly staff, good restaurant and food for breakfast and dinner, good clean room
Sachets of milk in room were out of date, staff provided fresh milk and apology
Friendly staff, good food and a lovely, recently redecorated room.
Nothing!
Good location. Our superior double room had a large bed. The room was bright, with windows on two sides. The hot food at breakfast was cooked to order, and very good.
A fire alarm box that kept beeping. Dirt on the stairs to the resident’s rooms. No coat hooks in the bedroom. Lights in bedroom very poor for reading. The shower drained slowly and the bathroom was in danger of flooding. I had no option but to investigate the shower trap and remove a huge clump of hair. Choice of cereals at breakfast very poor. Only muesli was a sachet of Alpen. Apple juice had a strange taste.
Is a very convenient location and the staff are simply the best thing about the Throckmorton. Food is good too and good value for money.
It’s tired, could do with some investment.

It was all good - so there was nothing we didn't like.
Breakfast was amazing. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Parking was plentiful... but watch out for speed cameras going into Studley!
Room and breakfast & pub food excellent
Thin walls you can hear other room snoring through wall
It was much cleaner this time, which I was pleased to see. It looked like it had been modernised a bit which made the room more appealing.
For a family room it would be nice if they could add a mini fridge.
first class traditional English breakfast, great "Christmas Vibe" well stocked Bar and Young and Enthusiastic StaffCosy Warm Room, Quiet Location.
Cannot think of anything
The room was big, the bed was amazingly comfortable and very clean,The staff were so nice and friendly
The bathroom a problem, the shower was tiny and the shower door was off it's bottom hinge, the toilet was a bit close to the wall,We are in the restaurant and thought the food was expensive for what it was.
Breakfast was really good. Waitress very friendly. Service was very quick. Breakfast area was really nice and very clean.
Nothing; everything was perfect, thank you for a lovely stay.
