Melbourne View Hotel

Very close to Donnington Park race track.

Walls are paper thin. You can hear everything from the opposite rooms. Conversations, kettle.boiling, and shower/toilet. Noise from planes overhead during the night.

Excellent location for Donington Park, with plenty of parking space for trailers etc. Friendly staff and everything you need for a comfortable night’s stay.

The host waited for us as we were late arriving due to road closures.

There was only one downside to our stay as we booked for bed and breakfast and didn't know until we arrived that they were not doing breakfast so had to go elsewhere for some breakfast

Well located, close to donington park circuit - 2 min drive.Great breakfast, extra charge but well worth it.Would visit again, but in annex only.

I had room 5, walls a bit thin, heard all conversations and tv in room 6 and showering in room 4.Close to airport, so expect flight noise.

Perfect room, with a great view of the planes taking off. Very spacious room, very clean, could not fault anything

The hotel is ideal for Donnington park race circuit and surrounding area, staff were great and the breakfast was amazing

lovely room. Excellent hot breakfast. Beautiful clean room and comfortable. Enjoyed hearing aircraft overhead but did not disturb our sleep at all.

The hash browns at breakfast could have been hotter -= small detail but just a thought for 5* rating!

The views

Alot of low flying airplanes. Noisy but l had ear plugs for the night.

Excellent facilities, generous parking space and really clean throughout. I would Highly recommend this hotel.Staff are really engaging and friendly. 10/10

Breakfast was very good. Freshly cooked to order. Plenty of coffee available, self served filter.Spotlessly clean bathroom.i only stayed one night

beautiful location, lovely decor, friendly welcome

Small, clean hotel with beautiful well kept grounds in a pretty Derbyshire village. We stayed overnight as we were going to a wedding in the locality the day after. Love the fact that planes were going over very low as the runway at East Midlands Airport it’s about a mile away. The owners of the hotel were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was one of the best I’ve had in a hotel recently. Really enjoyed our stay.

Cannot think of anything that wasn’t good.

Breakfast excellent, room very clean, great location

No bar, a curtain on the bathroom rather than door

nice spacious room.

no aircon in the room meant leaving window open and because of proximity to airport just got woken up every hour or so by flights landing

I received a friendly welcome, even though I was late. The room was clean and comfortable and the bed had a decent, firm mattress.

The general standard of fixtures, fittings and finish were okay but a little tired in places.Nothing awful though.

Lovely and clean, everything you need and friendly staff. Great parking too.

Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable room, very good location for Donnington Circuit, fantastic breakfast!

Nothing!

Comfortable room. Spotlessly clean. Excellent breakfast.

Turning left from the hotel on to the road was tricky due to a blind corner. A mirror on the opposite side of the road to detect oncoming cars would be helpful.

Lovely room and friendly staff. Fabulous location for Donington race track.

Excellent location for my trip. Pleasant greeting on arrival and cosy, clean room.
