Pros +
- Was there for a wedding which was great and well organised with nice touches. Clearly well versed & proficient in these events. Room was on ground floor, warm and decent size with everything we needed. Very comfy bed, good wifi.Great choices for breakfast
- the friendly staff. even though there was a wedding on, unlike other places we have stayed, this place was so nice and quiet and relaxing. food was lovely and breakfast was excellent.
- It was nice to stay where the wedding was
Cons -
- Bar prices were on, what I consider, high side but then again we are both seniors and perhaps I have a dated view on what is reasonable nowadays.
- being able to stay longer or book again soon as the place is so popular. credit to them!
- To say I paid a lot for the room it was very small and smelt like sewers. The smell was so bad I was sick a few times. I also didn’t realise the spa facilities weren’t in with the price so it cost me a lot of money for only one night

Frendly staff clean room
The food
Hotel clean. Food basic. Restaurant staff poor as not around when needed.
Food service and food quality
Bar ok. Room ok. Staff ok
Spa was not included. Eg sauna jacuzzi. £25 a day each for use of. Food was rubbishHouse wine vinegar Ended up pay £13 for a glass of better wine. Room basicNo fridge
Dining area was set out lovely, food was great, staff couldnt do enough. Spa was fab. Really enjoyed it.
Gym could be a little better
The Rasul Mud treatment was really good also enjoyed the general spa facilities Hotel is clean and comfortable Staff are friendly
Staff were very nice and friendly plenty of parking
Prices in the bar, spirits were only sold in 50mls so a couple of drinks with mixers was over £20
Staff were lovely, food was nice, room was decent and had a nice family feel
Could maybe do with a lick of paint
Nice enough bar area/dining area
Bedrooms are very basic. It appears that this hotel was once an amazing venue but I do feel that the place needs quite a lot of money spending on it to meet todays guest expectations.
Close to motorway
My single room had a dripping ceiling light fitting, that dripped all through the night!
Charming location close to race course and Wetherby town centre
Needs a much needed refurb and upgrade Staff on reception on arrival was a bit rude and quite dismissive when we asked if they were able to arrange a taxi for us or if the room was ready as we did arrive early but asked on the off chance The 2nd lady when we came back after was much more delightful an even upgraded us Breakfast was cold on a buffet style and wasn’t much option for cold or continental options
It had great parking, lovely restaurant/breakfast room was lovely. Room was lovely - took a while to find tea/coffee making facilities
When we checked in, a male guest was hanging around the reception chatting to us - me (female) and my daughter, and the receptionist. There was no discretion when telling us our room number and where it was. And again at breakfast we had to call over the dining hall to say our room number for all to hear. We don’t mind in some ways because we were only staying 1 night… but I didn’t like knowing that the other guests knew which room we were in - just us 2 females alone. Also no pool - which I understand is a more expensive change to make!!
Was a nice stay came for the races
Breakfast always not very hot sometimes cold food in bar good when we asked for it hot previous meal was cold no guinness on draught need to think about this it's a very popular drink and most places have it room was quite small for 2 people even though it had a double bed bathroom very small
Good location - facilities and friendly staff - free parking - comfortable room - moved to another room and had the benefit of additional facilities - Nespresso machine - carafe of sherry - Pringles - Catherine was very accommodating - thank you
Excellent room and outstanding food. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Brilliant spa facilities.
It would have been great to have tea and coffee facilities in the room.
Very clean, good staff, nice room
Dinner was disappointing
Visited for a wedding, venue was lovely
Bed was too soft, expensive with breakfast not included in the price
A very nice breakfast
The room was very hot, we couldn't turn the heating off.The room also could do with a bit of a makeover
