Masonic Arms Gatehouse

Good food free parking.

Confirmation email stated room 1 but we had room 5 which wasn't exactly like thepic on the booking site was ok though.

Everything was really great.

Breakfast was excellent value, Very clean and smartly presented set up and lovely staff

Room very small for two people. Had to get into a corner to allow us to pass around the bed

We were attending a wedding nearby. The start of this event was 13.30 and we have to travel a fair distance to get there. We asked for early entry to our room for changing purposes and the hotel management came up with the goods. Really appreciated that gesture. The room was well decorated and clean the the bed extremely comfortable.

Excellent accommodation - well equipped, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The food at the Masonic Arms was fantastic too!

Location. Extremely comfortable beds. Great staff.

Nothing to report.

Very modern room and bathroom - spotlessly clean

Recently refurbished,. Very clean rooms, good beds and showers. Very friendly staff. The meals were good, and our veggie member was satisfied.

Location was excellent, room was spotless and staff very welcoming

Comfortable clean accessible excellent food and the most helpful staff

We just liked it so much

We got checked in right away and shown to our room which was modern with a lovely bathroom, comfy bed and large TV on the wall and it was clean and tidy on arrival. We then had dinner booked in the restaurant downstairs, the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was delicious! We opted for breakfast the next morning which again was lovely. Will definitley look to stay again if we're down in the area.

Comfy beds. Modern, clean

We checked in very easily and were shown a room which was delightful, beautifully decorated and having coffee andkettle and all soaps etc in the very smart bathroom. It was however one of the coldest nights of the year and sadly the radiator decided to fail. NO PROBLEM! The wonderful host immediately transferred us to another lovely room and we warmed up and went to the restaurant for a light evening meal. Delicious. Muchas gracias.

Great shower , brilliant food in the pub, nice and warm.

Extremely comfortable bed. Nice room. Very clean.

Room lovely but lacked storage.

Location, food and bar

No complaints

Great little place about a lovely pub. The room was lovely. A large comfy bed, a brilliant shower facilities. The pub below serves excellent meals. Would highly recommend.

The rooms were very nice with modern shower room and toilet. Facilities were good and it was exceptionally clean.

The central heating system needs some attention, the first room that we were given, room number 1, the radiator in the bedroom wasn't heating up, possible air lock and needs bled. The owner did react to this very quickly and offered us room number 2, the radiator in the bedroom was working. However after moving I discovered that the radiator in the shower room wasn't heating up. Probably the same problem as with the radiator in the bedroom in room 1. I accepted this as it was more important that the bedroom was warm rather than the shower room.

Good being away from the main road. I liked the adventurous colours in the bedrooms and the high tech key system! I like staying in a pub but it was nice having the separate access.

The hard flooring in the lobby and bedrooms is practical but not very cosy in winter.

Location good bar and restaurants

Room a little compact
